Welcome to another edition of Roker Riches, which is resuming after a weekend break for our RR punters while our 2 Mackem Jordans went off to play a few World Cup qualifiers with their England mates.
The transfer window has closed across that period, with most SAFC fans happy with our business. It is now time to get back onto “HMS P*ss the League” and secure another 3 points at home, which are on offer against second-place Accrington Stanley.
The Roker Riches table...
Only a couple of winners for our Riches lads in relation to bets for the Lads win versus Wycombe. Bomber and Paul netted a tasty ton between them, meaning only Gair and our mate Michael remain under the starting kitty of £200.

Malc continues to hold a decent lead at the top of the early table, but one good bet coming in could make a huge difference to the pecking order.
Bomber managed to dilute his winnings with a yellow card, going to the top of the league in this aspect with 2 since the start of the season. Disgraceful discipline, but it eases the pressure on Phil above him.
Banker’s Bonus...
The Banker’s bonus came in last week for the first time this season - the Riches lads have an extra tenner as SAFC scored first, and eventually went on to win well, despite the consolation deflection and opposition goal late on.
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/22811796/1234916175.jpg)
In light of that, there will be three bets per punter this weekend, although the lads have the option to add the bonus tenner onto one of their normal two bets, improving the return if the bet comes in.
The next new bonus challenge will be issued to the lads for the next weekend match.
This round’s bets...
Anthony Gair says...
Gut Feeling Single
Both teams will burst out of the blocks desperate for goals after the international break, and being bored for what seems like an eternity. I’ve gone for the game to have the most goals in the first half and for there to be 2 or more goals in the first half too. £10 returns £43.33
League Acca
Burton will be ‘Hurton’ from their draw midweek against Bolton, which would have sent them top, Sheff Wed are mint and Ipswich have to do something, sometime, surely?! Burton, Sheff Wed and Ipswich treble, £10 lands £97.20

Bankers bonus
Sunderland to win 3-1 with my tenner bankers bonus. Let me know how much that is, someone, cos I totally forgot about the bonus bet! (Malc’s note - that’s at 11-1 on Skybet as of time of drafting Gair, returning £120 including stake if your tenner bonus bet comes in. You’re welcome...)
Luke ‘Bomber’ Davies says...
SAFC Bet Builder
My Bet Builder gave last week gave a little return and given the short odds of the Acca I’m going for something a little more adventurous;
- Sunderland to win both halves, Over 2.5 goals, Leon Dajaku to score last (team goal), Under 14 match corners. £5 returns £110
Saturday 3pm Acca
Adopting a slow and steady approach with my prize pot which is reflected in this weeks 4-fold giving quite short odds. Two home wins and Two away wins make up the four results to back, starting in the Championship with high flying Fulham and West Brom to sweep aside Blackpool and Millwall respectively. Next into League One where SAFCs reserves (aka Wigan) are expected to maintain their good start to the season against winless Doncaster. Finally we are crossing the boarder for the first time and at a fairly attractive (albeit odds-on) price, Rangers make up the bet as they travel to St Johnstone
£5 returns £26.04

Wins for all of the following : France - Lens, Germany - Hoffenheim, Italy - Inter, Spain - Athletico Madrid, Belgium - Gent (not Genk), Portugal - Braga, Holland - Feyenoord.
£10 of the Banker’s cash returns £465.95

Dajku to score last and Sunderland to win
Hopefully we’ll see a dream debut for our new signing with a goal off the bench to seal off a win for the Lads. £5 returns £40
Optimistic Double
LEICESTER to cause an upset against Man City, and WEST HAM to continue their good start by beating Southampton. £5 returns £66
Bankers Bonus
Maurizio Sarri’s freescoring Lazio to beat AC Milan and both teams to score. £10 returns £50.
Paul Fletcher says…
Sunderland to win 4-0:
Now is not the time to get carried away and start making bold predictions, is it? Accrington have started the season well and are level on points with us at the top of the league so we should be expecting a tough game tomorrow. However, I just don’t see the game playing out that way. After a long break, I fancy us to come back firing on all cylinders, score early and then blow them away. £5 returns £115

Saturday Home Fourfold:
I’m keeping it simple and going for four home wins, one from each of the top four English leagues. Brentford are very well priced to beat Brighton so I’m hoping they are worth the risk to boost my returns alongside my other three picks; West Brom, Wigan and Leyton Orient, who are all firm favourites with the bookies. £5 returns £63.29
Banker’s Bonus = Sunday Away Fourfold:
With my free tenner, I’m going to be more adventurous and cast my eye towards Europe, backing four teams to venture into opposition territory and return with all three points. Nice to beat Nantes, Parma to beat Pordenone, Lech Poznan to beat Rakow and Basel to beat Lugano. £10 returns £236.48
Danny Roberts says...
Sunderland to win:
I fancy us to pick up the win this weekend. We look so energetic and such a threat now and I think we’ll have too much for Accrington to handle. £5 returns a huge £8.25!!
League 1 Treble:
Lots of games in our league this weekend that look very attractive, and despite the odds being relatively low, if I can start adding to my kitty over the weeks it’ll leave me with a great chance of getting the dub this season. Burton against Gillingham looks an easy win for the home side, as does Wigan’s game against Donnie, and Rotherham against Fleetwood. £10 returns £57.28.
Bankers Bonus:
I’m going to go for another trio, but one I thought might be a bit riskier. So Brentford to beat Brighton, Charlton to grab three points at home to Cheltenham and Ipswich to finally get a win this season against Bolton. £10 returns £129.11.
Malc Dugdale says...
London Quad -
I fancy a few sides in London to do well this weekend. I’m backing all of Spurs, Arsenal, Brentford and West Ham to pick up wins this weekend. With the Hammers and Spurs away from home (at Palace and Southampton), this drives decent odds of over 18-1. If this comes in we are returning £96.20 including stake, for a fiver bet.

Return of the King - Bankers Bonus
With Ronaldo returning to the Theatre of Dreams this weekend, and our lovely Barcode mates being the first into his realm, I think that is worth putting a wee bonus bet on.
Ronaldo to score, over 2.5 goals in the game, 5+ corners in each half, and 30+ Newcastle booking pts gives me a tasty £130 for my bonus tenner, and if it comes in, to quote a certain mullet wearer “I’d love it”. Tenner returns £130 incl stake.
Sunderland taking another victory
I can see a few niggles being ironed out with the introduction of a few new faces this Saturday, but I do think we will have too much for Stanley even though they may grab a consolation, as Wycombe did from a deflection late on.
Sunderland to win, BTTS is boosted to 11-4 on Skybet, returning £18.75 for a fiver bet. I’ll take that and any win to keep this run going.
Michael Dunne says...
Ross Stewart to score first and Sunderland win 2-0
It is hard to look past a Sunderland win in this game. Whilst I acknowledge we are playing our second place neighbours, I think Sunderland have a bit more about them. I can see Ross Stewart adding to his goal tally in a gritty win. It is hard not to back the Scot such is the form he is in. This bet returns £115 from a fiver @22/1
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/22816087/1234918362.jpg)
Championship treble
Looking around the leagues, I was trying to find a bet that may be worth doing. Not that this bet gives unbelievable odds or value for money, I can see these three games having a few goals in them - Birmingham, Bristol and Forest all to have BTTS results. None of these teams have set the world alight. Expect a few goals in these games. £15 returns £115.74 at just over 6/1 (including Bankers Bonus tenner)
