Starting XI: One change predicted for the lads tonight against Leeds United!

Will Doddsy change a winning team?

Saturday’s game against West Brom saw the lads turn in a much improved display, with Mike Dodds tweaking a few things that needed it and we got the positive outcome the club really needed.

Tonight will be a different challenge - I’m expecting Leeds to pose more of a threat attack wise, and hopefully the lasts will be able to exploit any gaps they leave.

Team wise, it was interesting to see Jobe deployed up front - he had a goal harshly ruled out - while Pritchard once again did well off the bench. Has he done enough to get a start?

Here’s how we think the lads might line up.

Goalkeeper: Anthony Patterson

Could Patterson have done a little more for WBA’s goal? Maybe. But he had a quiet afternoon and will have been disappointed to not keep a clean sheet in a game in which he had very little to do.

Defenders: Trai Hume, Luke O’Nien, Dan Ballard, Niall Huggins

We were pretty solid defensively last weekend - until the final 5 minutes or so when we conceded and then O’Nien gave the ref a decision to make with a physical challenge in the game’s dying moments. The two full backs also played well - Trai Hume made some superb challenges - and that was pleasing to see.

Midfield: Dan Neil, Pierre Ekwah

I thought Ekwah had his best game for a while, and while Neil didn’t hit the heights he has done at other points this season, did well alongside him and will keep their places tonight.

Attack: Patrick Roberts, Alex Pritchard, Jack Clarke

Roberts had his best game for a while on Saturday, while Clarke is due a goal and will hopefully get one tonight against his former club. Alongside them Aouchiche has done ok in his three starts, but Pritchard has been excellent recently when coming on as sub and could have done enough to force himself into the team tonight. He

Striker: Jobe Bellingham

Jobe was decent up front, and his selection there came off the back of his brother extolling his sibling’s striker prowess. Likely to get another start up there tonight.
