Claudia Moan - 7/10

Didn’t have a lot to do, but did it well. Slotting in nicely as a Championship keeper.

Megan Beer - 8/10

Energetic performance from the full back. All of her hard work coming to fruition.

Grace McCatty - 7/10

Solid as a rock. Doesn’t always get the plaudits she deserves. Her experience is invaluable.

Charlotte Potts - 7/10

Again rock like at the back. Fantastic free kick delivery for the first goal.

Louise Griffiths - 8/10

Very, very good. Up and down the left all afternoon - a player that’s raised her game to Championship level.

Jessica Brown - 8/10

Tailed off in the second half, but only because she was so fantastic first half. The Blackburn left-back was subbed off before she was sent off, up against her.

Emma Kelly - 8/10

Took over the captain’s armband. Disciplined performance from the midfielder. Kept things ticking along and her experience helps the young players around her.

Neve Herron - 9/10

What can I say? Wow. Unreal today. Goal and a fantastic through ball for the second. Covered the whole pitch and put her body on the line with two brilliant blocks.

Abbey Joice - 8/10

Not a player I’ve seen a lot of due to the pandemic BUT full of energy out wide. Does a lot of unselfish work. Caused Blackburn problems in the first half.

Maria Farrugia - 9/10

She was full of tricks, running and energy. What a player this girl is. Close to getting a goal in the first half and her performance certainly deserved one.

Emily Scarr - 8/10

Did very well up front by herself. She had plenty of support from out wide and deserved her goal. Ran herself into the ground.

(SUB) Holly Manders - 7/10

Worked hard and slotted in well.

(SUB) Eve Blakey - N/A

Wasn’t on long enough for a mark, BUT this girl will be a big member of this squad no worries about that. Natural goalscorer. Watch out for her.

(SUB) Faye Mullen - N/A

Again too late for a rating but Mullen will play a lot for the lasses this season, and is a valuable member of the squad.

Player Of The Match: Neve Herron

She was everywhere. Pretty much the perfect central midfield performance - a goal, an assist and a goal saving block.
