Report: Sunderland’s move for Dennis Cirkin edges closer - fee agreed, medical next

Sunderland look like they’ve managed to sign a left back, finally, as a fee with Spurs has reportedly been agreed for Dennis Cirkin - with the teenager set for a medical ahead of the completion of his move to Wearside.

Tottenham Hotspur left-back Dennis Cirkin is headed to Wearside to undergo a medical, according to reports.

Football Insider, who initially broke the news of Sunderland’s interest, say the 19-year-old will complete his medical this weekend after a six-figure fee was agreed with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Tottenham had offered the highly rated defender a new contract but he has rejected that in favour of joining Lee Johnson’s side and will arrive at the club primed for first team football due to the lack of senior left-backs at the club.

We spoke to Spurs fanzine Lilywhite Rose this week to find out whether Cirkin is any good and you can read that HERE.
