Lee Burge: 8/10
Did what was needed and never looked in too much trouble until Lincoln’s equaliser. Good saves in the second half to keep the scores level, the save late on kept us in the game.
Luke O’Nien: 6/10
Turned too easily for Lincoln’s equaliser, and looked shaky at centre back this afternoon.
Dion Sanderson: 7/10
Put under more pressure in the second half than he has for a few weeks, and stood up well.
Callum McFadzean: 7/10
Good link up play with McGeady and a superb opener. Came to Sunderland’s rescue with some good covering after a Lincoln break in the second half, too, however a weak tackle in the second half presented Lincoln with a great chance.
Conor McLaughlin: 7/10
Another decent performance from the Northern Ireland international, who was steady in defence and occasionally threatening going forward. Appreciated his yellow card foul late on. Took one for the team.

Max Power: 7/10
Great ball in for the opener, and prompted the play well throughout.
Grant Leadbitter: 5/10
Kept things ticking over in the first half and broke up Lincoln’s play well. Wasn’t able to influence the game enough in the second half, and was sacrificed for Stewart as Sunderland chased a winning goal.
Carl Winchester: 6/10
Was involved in some nice moments, but struggled to impose himself on the game in a more advanced role. Subbed early in the second half for Scowen.
Lynden Gooch: 6/10
Carried the ball nicely on occasion but was also wasteful in possession. Found it difficult to make a real impact.
Charlie Wyke: 6/10
Should have had a penalty in the first half but failed to offer a great deal of threat to the Lincoln defence. Maybe lucky not to have got a second yellow in the second half.
Aiden McGeady: 8/10
A constant threat after a quiet opening spell. Unlucky not to score with a fierce second half free kick, but was central to everything that was good from an attacking perspective. Unlucky to be pulled back for a dubious handball when clean through late on.

(SUB) Josh Scowen: 5/10
Made a few crucial blocks after coming on immediately after Lincoln’s equaliser.
(SUB) Ross Stewart 5/10
Didn’t have the impact he had on Wednesday evening – I’d have liked to have seen him on earlier.
(SUB) Chris Maguire: 7/10
Almost made an instant impression with a drive from range that was deflected wide. Again, maybe should have come on earlier as he looked lively.
Man of the Match
Lee Burge – his two second half saves earned the side a point. McGeady runs him close, though.

6/10 for Lee Johnson today – I thought he was unusually cautious. I think he made an error in his team selection with Winchester playing in an unaccustomed advanced role, and left his subs a bit late.
