Ron-Thorben Hoffmann: 6/10
No chance with the goal but did not have a lot to do today, typically assured on the ball.
Carl Winchester: 6/10
Solid defensively but did not offer much going forward today.
Tom Flanagan: 6/10
Had a couple of half chances from corners that were easily stopped and battled well defensively
Callum Doyle: 6/10
Stood up to periods of Charlton pressure and wasn’t particularly troubled, went long a bit too much when on the ball.
Dennis Cirkin: 7/10
Had the team’s best chance but saw his shot cannon back off the crossbar, also had a shot saved in the first half and did well defensively against Leko.
Luke O’Nien: 5/10
Had a running battle all afternoon with Stockley, tried unsuccessfully to keep the winner out with his hand and wasteful on the ball. Also, why is he on free kick duty?
Dan Neil: 6/10
Looked bright in the first half when the team were going forward but struggled to get into the game after the break.
Aiden McGeady: 5/10
Kept trying to make things happen but struggled with his end ball all day, not enough height on most of his crosses.
Alex Pritchard: 5/10
Busy performance between Stewart and the midfield, always trying to link play but no end product today.
Aiden O’Brien: 4/10
Thought he was worst player today, not enough threat and one awful ball out wide when the team were well placed just before his substitution summed up his afternoon.
Ross Stewart: 6/10
Battled with the Charlton defence all game, ran the channels well but nothing of note came his way in the box.
Subs
Lynden Gooch: 6/10
Came on as we looked to get back into the game after the Charlton goal but at that point we were being far too direct.
Leon Dajaku: 6/10
Same as Gooch. Did have one good moment when a quick turn on the edge of the box gave him a shooting opportunity but curled his shot over.
Corry Evans: 6/10
Came on for Dan Neil but at that point the team were mostly bypassing central midfield.
Man of the Match: Dennis Cirkin
A good game for Cirkin, came closest to scoring but was unlucky to see his shot hit the crossbar and had a good back and forth battle with Jonathan Leko.
