Roker Riches: Week two - any more bets, please?

A great win for the Lads away at Oxford, but very much a game of two halves. How did our betting slips fair?

Roker Riches 20/21

A win for the lads, but not for all the Riches lads...

While most of the lads predicted a win for Sunderland, not many got it totally right, and hence reaped the benefits for the Riches kitty.

The Rolling Table Week #2: Season 2020-2021

Danny hits the bottom of the league in week two after no wins and a yellow for a lack of attention to the bet cut off. No result for our readers, but let’s see if they can do better this week.

Banker’s Bonus...

The bonus came in last week with a clean sheet for the lads. No bonus this week, but let's hope we get more of the same.

Extra bets mentioned below. Good luck fellas (and Readers)...

This Week’s Bets:

Matty says...

SAFC vs Pboro, BTTS - a score draw is a likely result in this considering Posh’s attacking power. £10 returns £18.

EFL double - Swansea to beat Wycombe and Portsmouth to beat Wigan... should be safe bets! £10 returns £28.26.

Bankers bonus bet - Four (should be) safe bets! Chelsea to beat West Brom, Watford to beat Luton, Ipswich to beat Rochdale and Fleetwood to beat Wimbledon! £5 returns £28.83.

Gary says...

5 quid Sunderland to win, BTTS, 10/3 with Bet 365 returns £21.66. I think this will be a proper end to end game that could have plenty of goals, and although I rate 2 of our centre halves as the best in the league, with the combination of Burge and Flanno I see Posh grabbing 1 against us.

Next is an acca in the Prem for me. Everton, Chelsea, Spurs and Wolves to win. Everton look like European place contenders this year and are crazy odds to beat Palace at 11/10. Chelsea are Chelsea. Spurs to HAMMER the Mags, I’d imagine, after the Mags were torn apart by Brighton. Finally Wolves v West Ham, Nuno Esperito Santo over Moyes all day long. 5 quid pays £46.81.”

Bankers bonus bet - Luton, Doncaster and Fleetwood all to win, fiver returns £86.88

(Malc’s note - hope the latter bombs just for Joey...)

Phil says...

SAFC to beat Peterborough and BTTS. £5 returns £25 with Skybet.

Last week's bet on Sunderland to keep a clean sheet came in for me, but Im expecting Peterborough to put our defence under more pressure than Oxford did last weekend. Skybet has boosted a Sunderland win and BTTS from 100/30 to 4/1, a price which makes it worth £5 of last week's winnings.

Morecambe to beat Southend @7/5, Sassoulo to beat Spezia 8/11, Monaco to beat Strasbourg 4/5. £5 treble returns £37.50 with Skybet.

2 late goals by Borough and Marseille let down last weeks EFL and Euro treble, but Im going for a similar tactic this week.

Southend are basically a youth team at the minute which makes Morecambe a good price at better than evens. Sassoulo were one of the most exciting teams to watch in Serie A last season under De Zerbi, and I fancy the NeroVerdi to beat newly promoted Spezia quite comfortably. Monaco have started well under former Bayern boss Kovac; Vito Mannone and co should be able to beat Lamine Kone’s Strasbourg.

Bankers bonus bet - Leeds, Spurs, Man City and Wolves all to win with a handicap of 1 goal. £5 returns £411.17

Paul (PJ) says...

A disappointing start for me but I was only one Morecambe goal away from profit last weekend. Hoping to go one better this time around.

Sunderland to win from behind. Posh will be up for it and they have the attacking quality to punish us if we make another slow start. Fortunately we have the character, fitness and options on the bench to turn it around. £5 returns £45.

BTTS treble. Goals all round for Derby Blackburn, Crewe MK Dons and Mansfield v Exeter. £5 returns £29.41.

Bankers bonus bet - Win and BTTS treble. Bayern, Barca and Feyenoord all to win but concede in the process. £5 returns £68.75.

Malc says...

I was let down by a strong SAFC clean sheet and a poor result for Man U last weekend. Hopefully more luck this weekend.

SAFC to win but less than 1.5 goals - I think we will have another clean sheet, grab a goal and prevent Posh from getting in. £5 returns £17.

Treble - all over 2.5 goals. Burnley, Swansea and Chelsea to win. £5 bet returns £178.75 on Skybet.

Bankers bonus bet -

A treble that all of Burnley, Swansea and Brentford will score 2 or more goals in their games (just in case Chelsea have a brain fart)

Fiver pays £71.25 on Skybet.

Danny says...

Sunderland to draw: Concede early, then grab an equaliser late on after a frustrating display in front of goal. £5 returns £18.00.

EFL Triple: Swansea to give Wycombe another a defeat, Fleetwood to ease past Wimbledon and Portsmouth to get their first goals and three points of the season against Wigan. £10 returns £48.97.

Bankers Bonus: Leeds and Tottenham to both pick up three points on Sunday. £5 returns 19.03.

Riches Readers say...

This week's readers bet comes from Eddie (@EddieFinsupSAFC). Thanks for your readership Eddie, but don’t go beating us by too much eh!

Eddie is predicting a 2-2 draw for the lads. £5 returns £75.

He is also calling a league one treble, with wins for Burton, Donnie and Ipswich. £5 returns £45.84.

Good luck Eddie, and the mighty Mackems.
