Sunderland or India for Le Fondre
Adam Le Fondre won the A-League Grand Final with Sydney FC yesterday, as his team beat Melbourne Victory 1-0 in the final game of the Australian season, thanks to an extra time winner by Rhyan Grant.
That appears to be the former Bolton Wanderers striker last game for the club with reports in The World Game claiming Le Fondre has not received the contract assurances he was seeking and could now leave despite technically being under contract until mid-2021.
The report goes on to say that the player will sign for either Sunderland or Indian side Mumbai City and could leave for pastures new as soon as today.
Le Fondre is not the only veteran striker linked with Sunderland, with Danny Graham currently training at the Academy of Light ahead of a potential deal according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Sunderland. Danny Graham training. No terms sorted yet. And needs to get to 100 per cent fitness.
