Dear Roker Report,
It seems to fall on deaf ears when it comes to the directors who do not listen to the fans and loyal supporters. Yes we definitely need a new management in place, this club will be in the same league with the current management in place.
In my opinion, and I believe many other supporters’, it’s time for change. My choices would be in no order would be Kevin Phillips, Mick McCarthy, Peter Reid, Roy Keane, Kevin Ball, all these potential managers would take us to the next level, they all love the club and for sure they will do their utmost for the club.
The majority of fans want new management, so Stewart Donald needs to listen to the fans for once because we have the club in our best interests.

Ed’s Note [Tom]: Thanks for writing in, Ken, I hope you’re safe and well. I think there’s definitely some credence to the claim that the types of manager you listed seem to have the right personality to bring success to the club. Will the club gamble on new management during these tough times, though? I’m not sure Phil Parkinson will be going anywhere.
Dear Roker Report,
I’m annoyed that Sunderland are in League One as much as most people and certain things that have happened under the current ownership is not acceptable.
However, can people please not get carried away. Some of the recent reactions to things by some fans has been borderline delirium.
For example. The DD mistake recently where some people’s Direct debits were set up in error. Obviously somebody has messed up and if you want to moan about a mistake that was quickly highlighted and rectified then that is up to you. There’s been other mistakes too so I can understand people moaning at ineptitude.
However, a large section of fans were seriously suggesting that the club and Stewart Donald in particular had done this on purpose to try and steal money from fans and hoped to get away with it. But were caught out.
Think about what you are implying. You honestly think that the owner hoped 20 thousand people wouldn’t notice a direct debit been set up and money coming out of the bank?
That is complete stupidity. I get it, you’re upset and want him out of the club. But please don’t let that emotion drive you to jump to daft conclusions about every little thing.
Emotions are high but let’s not make it worse by reacting without thinking please.

Ed’s Note [Tom]: Hi Andy, thanks for writing in - I hope you’re safe and well. I think the issue here is that the absolute incredulous levels of ineptitude from the current ownership have allowed fans to immediately think of the worst case scenario. The same ownership team said they’d bought the club for £40 million, before then admitting that they’d actually borrowed £20 million from the club to finance the deal - effectively using the club’s own money to finance their purchase. Who’d have thought that would be the case two year’s ago? There’s a list as long as the Nile in terms of cock ups at the club; subsequently, fans will jump to conclusions about every negative action until there’s some semblance of professionalism and progress. I don’t think you can blame them.
