An announcement from the FA has confirmed the suspension of all non-elite football from Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December.
This comes after the Prime Minister announced on Saturday that the country will be entering another lockdown this week.
Yesterday’s announcement said that women’s football in Tiers 3-7 is suspended.
The Women’s Super League and Championship can go ahead, however, games in the FA Women’s National League and leagues below that cannot take place.
This means that Sunderland Ladies’ league, the FAWNL Northern Premier Division is suspended until next month.

The Lasses picked up a big three points at the weekend against Nottingham Forest and were due to take on Loughborough Foxes this Sunday.
After the Forest game, gaffer Mel Reay was asked about her thoughts on the affect lockdown could have on her side:
Obviously last season we were bitterly disappointed we couldn’t continue and couldn’t continue the league and get promoted.
It’ll be interesting to see what the outcome is this season because another lockdown is another lockdown so we’ll just have to wait and see really and concentrate on ourselves.
If we shutdown we shutdown if we don’t then we continue to be better and collect points.
As well as games being called off, this also includes team training, which raises the question of how players are expected to maintain game time fitness during the suspension period in preparation for fixtures taking place next month.
