Dear Roker Report,
Great article from the guy who has supported Donald and his efforts to save our club.
[Fan Letters 02/01/2020]
I’d also like to ask at what point did the so called supporters groups decide it was a good idea to group together to get Donald out ? I thought the ideas were supposed to be the voice of the fans ? Maybe I’m wrong, I’ve mentioned a few things on the facebook pages and the best you get is I’m a happy clapper, christ you couldn’t be further from the truth, we’re old school support, there was 14 of us sitting round a table the other day on one of our usual piss ups in Seaham aged from 19 upto 62, we have followed Sunderland the length and breadth of the country as a unit and do you know what I looked around the table and i realised that although weve had our moans I’ve never heard one of them boo anyone in our colours or demonstrate against owners. Social media has been the worst thing introduced in recent years but the behaviour of some of the so-called supporters groups is a disgrace. I’d love for all of you to have a mass meeting so people can vent their thoughts... of course you won’t because you wouldn’t like to hear the feedback you would get, you know why ? Because the majority will be genuine fans and not the keyboard warriors who frequent social media. I’d doubt we’d hear many people calling us happy clappers either.
Nigel Taylor
Ed’s Note [Gav]: Ha. Funny you should say that, because Red & White Army have an open meeting on 16th January at the Peacock in Sunderland which all the fan groups will be in attendance for. Click here to register. I trust you’ll be there.

Dear Roker Report,
Rob Jones [Fan Letters 02/01/2020] - you talk about patience... good god man, you must be Jesus Christ reincarnated. I think that even God would have lost patience with the clowns ruining our beloved SAFC. Blind faith is a recipe for disaster.
William and Jarvis are down to their last 1% of patience after watching Sunderland in over 2300 games in about nine or ten different countries, in over 175 different grounds, along with thousands of other SAFC fans with total dedication.
Your blind faith in the hierarchy currently in control (or, to be more precise, OUT OF CONTROL) will lead us to division four and then national league status.
William and Jarvis
Ed’s Note [Gav]: If people support the current regime then I’m fine with that, but they must also be accepting of others who are raising pertinent questions and respect their desire to see change for what they feel will be the betterment of the football club.
It works both ways.
