Sunderland are set to complete the signing of Leeds United left back Laurens De Bock on a season long loan, Roker Report can exclusively reveal.
The 26 year old former Belgium U21s defender is surplus to requirements at Elland Road and spent the majority of last season out on loan with Belgian top flight side K.V. Oostende.
De Bock is on Wearside putting the finishing touches to the deal, and pending a medical will be announced as the club’s latest signing ahead of today’s 5pm transfer deadline.
The defender was signed in January of 2018 to a four year deal after an impressive stint with Club Brugge, but has been unable to work his way into the team ahead of Barry Douglas and Tom Pearce since Marcelo Bielsa took over at the Yorkshire club.
