The State of Play
For the first time this season we have a complete washout - nobody made any profit! Yes, despite Graham Falk and Matty Crichton winning bets we all ended the week on less money than we started it with - rather impressive, really.
We go again...
The Table - Week #5

Banker’s Bonus...
Because Sunderland scored over 2.5 goals against Wimbledon the banker’s bonus came in, and we all got a free £10 bet each to use this week. Not all bad, then...
This week’s bonus: If Will Grigg finally scores a league goal the banker will double everyone’s stakes next week.
This week’s picks!
Gav is going with...
FREE £10 BET: Bristol City and Coventry both to win, over 2.5 goals in the Man City v Brighton game, and Alfredo Morelos to score in the Old Firm derby. £10 returns £177.
Goal scored between 16-30 mins in the P’boro v SAFC game: This is more of a hopeful punt than an informed judgement. I just hope we come away unscathed! £10 returns £32.
Fourfold: Salford, Rotherham, Birmingham and Liverpool all to win. £10 returns £153.
Paul Fletcher is going with...
Sunderland to win from behind: I reckon Peterborough will be really up for this game coming off the back of two convincing away wins in the league and no game midweek. They’ll come at us hard and get a goal but with the quality we have and the confidence that’s finally starting to build, we’ll come back to win. £5 returns £50.
’Sensible’ double: Bromley and Woking to win. After two weeks of losing money, I’m going a bit more conservative. Hopefully, the top two teams in the conference can continue their strong starts to the season with home wins and return a small profit. £7.50 returns £41.85.
Bankers bonus £10 free bet: ’Speculative’ win and BTTS treble. Underdogs (according to bookies) Norwich, Dumbarton and Jahn Regensburg all to win away with both teams scoring. It’s a free bet so nothing to lose. £10 returns £1608.75.
Danny Roberts is going with...
FREE £10 BET: Boring but if I can bank an extra £26 for my total, it’ll all help by the end of the season. So Wolves to beat Torino in the Europa League and Chelsea and Man City to win in the Prem on Saturday. £10 returns £26.72.
Sunderland v Posh - Over 2.5 goals: Both teams can score goals so it wouldn’t surprise me to see both teams hit the back of the net on Saturday and produce three goals or more. £5 returns £9.
Fourfold: I fancy a non-league double to start my four-fold, with Woking and Bromley to continue their good starts to the season with home wins against bottom half opposition, Rotherham to defeat Tranmere in League One and West Brom to win or lose against Blackburn Rovers. £10 returns £113.69.
Rory Fallow is going with...
Sunderland to win and BTTS: I fancy us to keep up our fine form but don’t think we’ll get that elusive clean sheet, especially with Posh’s decent attacking players. £10 returns £45.
FREE £10 Bet: Staying with Sunderland, I’m going for Will Grigg to score first. A knock to Chris Maguire may see Jack Ross hand Grigg a start, especially after his well taken goal in midweek. Not very adventurous for a free bet but it could be a shrewd one! £10 returns £55.
Bristol City & Blackpool to win: Blackpool let me down the other week but they’re good value at 2/1 as they face Portsmouth at home. Bristol City meanwhile, are Evens as they host struggling Middlesbrough. £10 returns £60.
Graham Falk is going with...
FREE £10 BET: I’m going to go all Premier League on my free bet and take a Chelsea, Man City and West Ham treble. £10 returns £27.57.
Sunderland & Posh BTTS: We don’t keep clean sheets. £10 returns £16.67.
Bundesliga fourfold: Bayern, Schalke, Wolfsburg and Dortmund to bring in some dollar dollar bills y’all. £20 returns £85.43.
Matty Crichton is going with...
FREE £10 BET: Absolutely nothing to lose with this bet so I might as well push the boat out... Manchester Utd, Chelsea, Rotherham, Swindon and Hearts all to win, BTTS between Leeds and Swansea. £10 Returns £173.11.
Peterborough and Sunderland BTTS: Every game so far this season has seen both teams score... can’t see it ending away at Posh. £10 returns £16.66.
Fourfold: West Brom, Aberdeen, Ipswich to win, BTTS in the match between Birmingham and Stoke. £10 returns £115.50.
