Roker Riches: Sunderland have won 2-1 twice, Wimbledon have lost 2-1 three times - same again?

2-1 has been a favourite score of both Sunderland and Wimbledon so far this season - and you can get 8/1 for that scoreline to repeat itself this weekend. Check our predictions and tips for this weekend’s round of games!

Danny Roberts

The State of Play

Last week our winning punters used the Bankers Bonus to full effect, making significant gains based on the fact that they all had their winnings doubled.

Last week the banker said he’d double all winning amounts if Chris Maguire scored against Portsmouth and he did just that, meaning Danny Roberts, Graham Falk and Matty Crichton all had decent wins. Danny’s win has put him top of the table at this early stage, whilst Graham’s win puts him just 22p ahead of last week’s leader Paul Fletcher and into second place. This is an unusually good start to the season across the board and we’re all feeling a bit weird about it....

The Table - Week #4

Banker’s Bonus...

As mentioned further up, last week’s bonus came in again and, as a result, it hit the banker hard in the pocket. He’s already lost a few this season and is keen to stem the flow...

This week’s bonus: If Sunderland score over 2.5 goals in their game v Wimbledon, the banker will gift each punter next week with a free £10 bet.

This week’s picks!

Gav is going with...

Sunderland to win 2-0: Taking a stab in the dark with this one since the odds are decent. Haway Lads, let’s get that first clean sheet of the season! £5 returns £40.

Fourfold: Sheff Utd or draw, Bradford, Leeds and Fleetwood all to win. £10 returns £119.

Paul Fletcher is going with...

Sunderland to win 4-0: Wishful thinking maybe but I’d love us to follow up three good results with a complete performance - start the game on the front foot, maintain concentration for the full 90 and keep a first clean sheet. £5 returns £105.

BTTS Fourfold: Huddersfield vs Reading, Rochdale vs Blackpool, Leyton Orient vs Crawley, Woking vs Solihull. Went from the glory of 4/4 two weeks ago to the embarrassment of 0/4 last week but I’ll stick with the BTTS lottery for another bet. £7.50 returns £77.90.

Danny Roberts is going with...

Sunderland to win to nil: I think this weekend we’ll record our first clean sheet of the campaign, with Prince Alim and Jordan Willis both having stand-out games. £5 returns £12.50.

Fourfold: Ipswich to beat Bolton, obviously, Coventry to get a home win against Gillingham, Cambridge to carry on their good start of the season against Oldham and Bromley to beat Boreham Wood in the National League. £10 returns £90.

Rory Fallow is going with...

Sunderland to win 2-1: We’ve won our last two games 2-1 and Wimbledon have lost by that scoreline three times this season. It’s a no brainer, for me. £5 returns £45.

Blackpool, Lincoln & Leeds to win: I’ll back two of League One’s form teams to keep their runs going, while Leeds are great value at Evens away to struggling Stoke. £5 returns £61.25.

Graham Falk is going with...

Sunderland to score over 1.5 goals: I’m fairly confident that we can score over 1.5 goals again this weekend as The Dons have conceded seven goals already in just four games. £10 returns £16.67.

Leipzig, Man. Utd and Fleetwood treble: Leipzig never let me down, United should get past a poor looking Crystal Palace, leaving only Joey Barton to do me a favour against Accrington. £20 returns £70.61.

Matty Crichton is going with...

Sunderland and Wimbledon both to score: The lads have scored and conceded in every fixture so far this season which makes this quite a safe bet... £5 returns £9.75.

Fourfold: Playing it safe to try to and claim back the money I lost in the first few weeks... Manchester Utd, Fulham, Wycombe and Mansfield are all hot favourites. £5 returns £37.80.
