Eredivisie side VVV-Venlo have announced that recently-released Lee Cattermole has joined the club on trial with a view to earning a permanent deal with the Dutch side.
In a statement on their official website, Venlo have said that it has been agreed between Cattermole and the club that the two parties will decide after his trial period whether or not ‘the club and player fit together’.
‘The Good Old’, who are managed by former Wisla Krakow boss Robert Maaskant, finished 12th in the Eredivisie last season and have already signed former Sunderland striker Jerome Sinclair on loan this summer.
