Roker Riches: Bookies have Sunderland as slight favourites to beat Pompey... FOURTH time lucky?

Despite the fact we’ve not beaten them this season in three attempts, the bookies still have Sunderland down as favourites for today’s game. Fourth time lucky?

Danny Roberts

Sunderland’s fifth defeat of the season meant that not very many of our gamblers made a profit last week. Most were confident of wins, although Rory did put his money on yet another 1-1 which almost came in. The one time you actually wanted a 1-1, eh?

Away from Sunderland, there was a huge win for Danny and he’s now in the lead! Danny lumped fifty sheets on a treble which raked in over £100, putting him ahead of Gav in the process - who looked like he had top spot all sewn up just a few weeks ago.

So now we enter the jeopardy of the play-offs, which are unpredictable at the best of times. A first leg is even trickier as well, so let’s see whether or not our pundits go for it or keep their powder dry for the second leg...

The Table...

The Banker’s Bonus...

If Sunderland take a lead of two goals or more into the second leg of their play off semi final, The Banker will give each player a free £20 first goal scorer bet on the FA Cup final.

Gav - @Gav1879

Sunderland to win & over 2.5 goals: I need to get back in the lead, somehow... £10 returns £45.

Treble: Aston Villa, Charlton and Forest Green all to win their play-off games this weekend. Come on... £10 returns £202.

Rory - @RoryFallow

Charlie Wyke to score two or more goals: I was originally going to go for a hattrick given how crazy the world of football has been this week. I’ll dial it back a bit though. £5 returns £65.

Play Off Treble: Villa & Derby to come out on top in the first leg of the Championship semis, while Charlton should see off Doncaster. £5 returns £93.65.

Danny - @DJRoberts22

Sunderland to draw 1-1: You know it’s going to happen, don’t you. There’s not a lot between the sides and it’ll show here once again. £5 returns £30.

Fivefold: Liverpool or draw, Man City or draw, Charlton or draw and Southampton and Man United both to win. £30 returns £90.30.

Dan Parker - @DGP202

1-1 Sunderland vs Portsmouth: it’s a massive game for us so you’re not expecting any other scoreline are you?! £5 returns £30.

Five team Acca: Man City are nailed on right? But I’m also going for wins for Fulham, Burnley, Leicester, and Southampton. £5 returns £189.56.

Chris - @ChrisSavedLatin

Sunderland & Pompey BTTS: I can see us putting a good shift in without the reward on Saturday. £40 returns £74.

Play off treble: I reckon Villa, Charlton and Forest Green will win their play-off games this weekend and bring me some dough. £50 returns £1020.

Graham - @GF_RokerReport

Sunderland & Pompey BTTS: I don’t see us winning, nor do I see a clean sheet, but we know where the net is so it’s likely going to be a 1-1 or a 2-2. £20 returns £37.

Villa & Dortmund to win: Just the two teams on this weekend - I’ve stopped to push my luck to catch the leaders and dropped way too much - don’t want to end up ruining my mid-April run of good bets. £10 returns £25.71.
