Danny Roberts

For the first time since we started the Roker Rapport Podcast in 2016 - all the way back when David Moyes was manager and we were recording from our spare rooms - we’ve decided that we’d like to bring on board some newbies that fancy getting involved with our team as part of plans to expand the Podcast even further in the future.

Producing podcasts is great fun - it’s our weekly convene at the studios to discuss all things Sunderland, with members of the Roker Rapport Podcast team mixing with our own squad of writers, local journalists, ex-players, current players, the current manager and even the club’s owners! As a Sunderland fan its a great experience, not only having a platform to express your opinions but to also get involved in loads of fun things and fan experiences that you usually wouldn’t do outside the realm of Podcasting.

We’ve got an established platform now and team of fans - editors, producers, hosts and fantastic volunteers - that work hard behind the scenes to ensure we produce the best possible shows for our loyal listeners. And our listener-base has grown massively over the last year or so, to the point where we want to keep on evolving and expanding what we do and who we are.

As such, we have several ideas and plans for the summer and next season. We’re staying tight lipped about what those are right now, though!

So, if you think you’d like to join our team of Podcasters then get in touch.

We’re all just fans - no broadcasting experience is necessarily needed. If you’re a passionate Lads fan who enjoys healthy debate about all things Sunderland and reckon you’d enjoy being involved in something in a studio environment then why not get in touch?

Criteria

There’s not much...

  • Be a Sunderland fan, obviously. Nee mags allowed.
  • It doesn’t matter where you’re located. Obviously for the studio shows we’re looking for people who are local to Sunderland who can drop in for shows when they fancy it, but as part of our plans we’re not only looking for Lads fans based in the north east - if you’re an exile, no matter where you are in the world, you’re more than welcome to get in touch.
  • Over 18s only.

To register your interest please send us an email - RokerRapport@gmail.com - just introducing yourself; telling us who you are, where you’re based, a little bit about yourself and why you think you’d be a good addition to our team.

We look forward to HEARING from you!
