Roker Riches: Sunderland are favourites with the bookies to beat Portsmouth - are you confident?

Despite losing twice to them already this season, the bookies have Sunderland as the favourites to win today’s game with Portsmouth. Are you as confident that we can get what could be three HUGE points?

Danny Roberts

It wouldn’t be a bank holiday weekend if our balances weren’t looking a bit lighter afterwards!

Only Gav registered a profit last week and that was for a measly £2. He was correct to back Sunderland to beat Doncaster with under 2.5 goals in the game, but his winnings were all but wiped out due to the failure of a £30 fourfold.

As is customary, Chris lost a fair wedge and Rory couldn’t arrest the slide even after he played it fairly safe last week.

This could be the penultimate week (please let it be the penultimate week, my heart can’t take the play offs) so let’s see if our gamblers can begin a push to end things on a high...

The Table...

The Banker’s Bonus...

If Sunderland beat Portsmouth, The Banker will give each player a free £10 four fold on the final day of League One fixtures.

Gav - @Gav1879

Sunderland to win & BTTS: I’m rolling in it so why not? £50 returns £217.

Fourfold: It was solid trying to put this bet together today. Right throughout the leagues there are form teams playing each other, which makes it hard to predict. Not really expecting to win this one but stranger things have happened... West Brom, Coventry, Mansfield and Patrick Thistle all to win.£10 returns £111.

Rory - @RoryFallow

Sunderland 1-1 Portsmouth: We love a 1-1 and I need to make my balance look respectable. £5 returns £30

Newcastle & Derby to win: The mags are in good form and they face a Brighton side who are not. Derby are pretty good odds at 2/1 to win away to Bristol City, so I’ll add that on too. £5 returns £54.

Danny - @DJRoberts22

Sunderland vs Portsmouth - Draw: We’ll draw while Barnsley drop points against Blackpool. £5 returns £17.00.

Treble: West Brom, Sheffield United and Norwich all to win and Oxford to win or draw against Doncaster. All the home favourites to pick up wins, while Oxford have had some big scalps in recent weeks and Doncaster look like they’re tripping up on the home stretch. £50 returns £215.60.

Dan Parker - @DGP202

Maguire to score and Sunderland to beat Portsmouth: Time to get adventurous with my bets now that I don’t have a chance of winning this thing. What better way than to do that than say the King will bag and we will secure a win against our arch-nemesis? £5 returns £45.

Ten team acca: And the same goes for this one too. Going big and going for Man Utd, Brighton, Man City, Sheff Utd, Norwich, West Brom, Celtic, Atletico Madrid, Roma, and Bayern to win. £10 returns £591.27.

Chris - @ChrisSavedLatin

Sunderland to win to nil: Desperate times here, I think it’s safe to say that this will probably lose too. £50 returns £200.

Everton, Wolves, Derby, Swansea, Charlton & West Brom to win: Dreamboat city here, Ha’way! £25 returns £3,409.69.

Graham - @GF_RokerReport

Sunderland and Pompey BTTS: I have no idea how to call Saturday, apart from the fact we won’t win and both teams are bound to score as they both go for it. £20 returns £35.

Liverpool, Sheffield United, Frankfurt and Bayern to win: I’m currently in fourth place, so needs to splash the cash to climb as high as I can with only two weeks left. These four are all in form and playing teams who are horrifically out of form. £50 returns £109.90.
