Roker Riches: FOURTH time lucky - Sunderland are seriously short odds to beat Walsall today!

Sunderland have failed to beat Walsall in the three other games against them this season - but that doesn’t seem to matter much to the bookies, who have us as clear favourites to win this afternoon at the Stadium of Light.

Danny Roberts

Despite a poor turnout from Sunderland, there was still a couple of wins for our gamblers!

Before we get to that though, some housekeeping to take care of. The Banker must have been feeling a bit grumpy last week as he marked one of Graham’s previous selections as a loss. After calming down by counting his money though, The Banker has paid Graham the winnings owed and the table has been updated accordingly.

Back to the latest round of punts and it was only Rory and Dan who made any profit last time out. Both pundits fancied wins for Bournemouth & Leicester, while Rory sweetened his by adding Leeds onto the bet slip, while Dan opted for Liverpool & Atletico Madrid to make up a fourfold.

This is our last round of tips before we head to Wembley as well! Will the lads be heading to the capital with some extra cash in their pocket? Let’s find out...

The Table...

The Banker’s Bonus...

If Sunderland score via a corner against Walsall, The Banker will give each player a free £10 bonus bet on the Checkatrade Trophy final!

Gav - @Gav1879

SAFC v Walsall - 1st goal between 16-30 mins: I fancy us to get an early goal tomorrow, so a tenner on this is my Sunderland bet for this week. £10 returns £42.

Fourfold: West Ham, Norwich, Charlton & Tranmere. £10 returns £212.

Rory - @RoryFallow

First goal in Sunderland vs. Walsall to be between the 31st minute & half time: Just trying something different this week, let’s see what happens! £10 returns £50.

FA Cup fourfold: Let’s see if I can correctly predict the outcome of the FA Cup quarter finals. I’ll take Watford, Manchester City, Manchester United & Millwall to all win in 90 minutes. £10 returns £219.70.

Danny - @DJRoberts22

Sunderland v Walsall - Lads to win and to keep a clean sheet: Can’t see any other result than this on Saturday. We can’t draw anymore - it’s a must win and we probably need to keep a clean sheet to get three points. £5 returns £12.50.

Triple - Bury and West Ham to win, Bournemouth to win or draw: Hard to chose an acca this week. Nothing really standing out, so trying to play it as safe as I can. £10 returns £31.88.

Dan Parker - @DGP202

Sunderland to win, Will Grigg to score, and two or more bookings in the game: Going for the same bet as last week and the week before. What’s the definition of insanity? £10 returns £30.

Sevenfold Acca: My lucky seven teams are Rangers, Madrid, Napoli, Atalanta, Bournemouth, West Ham, and Bayern Munich. £10 returns £152.45.

Graham - @GF_RokerReport

Sunderland to win and Grigg to score: Had it in my bones all week - he’s looked isolated and we’ve looked poor, but now’s the time to change that. £10 returns £26.

Bayern, Augsburg, West Ham to win: My standard Bundesliga bets mixed with a sure fire win for The Iron. £20 returns £58.93.
