Today is officially the day that Connor Bromley is no longer a Roker Reporter!
Connor started his new job this week, as Audio/Visual Manager at Sunderland AFC, which is a testament to his hard work over the last year or so as presenter of the Roker Rapport Podcast.
As a result, Connor will no longer be our lead presenter on the pod, but we’ve prepared accordingly, and we’re pleased to reveal that Alex McCain will be our new host.
Alex will be assisted by Josh Wilkinson and Jonny Goldsmith, and having listened to their first show together this morning, we have no doubts that they’ll carry on Connor’s good work.
Connor won’t be a stranger, though, and we’re sure you’ll be seeing plenty of him in the coming months.
And Sunderland AFC’s Executive Director, Charlie Methven, provided us with a little more on what his new role, which we’re pretty sure is his dream job, will include:
Ever since I arrived at the club, I have been working with Oscar Chamberlain to sharpen up our social media content. Oscar and the team have done a great job and we are now firmly established in the top 10 or so clubs in England when it comes to most metrics.
Now, it’s time to take things to the next level, particularly on the audio-visual front, so we decided to invite Connor to join us and I’m delighted he has accepted our offer.
In the first instance, his job will be to come up with more innovative feature ideas and to ensure that interviews are as informative as possible for our fans.
On behalf of all of us at Roker Report, good luck, Connor! You’ll be a big miss!
