Reported target allowed to leave
Sunderland were linked with Feyenoord midfielder Liam Kelly earlier this as Phil Parkinson looks to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window.
Kelly has been out of favour at the Eredivisie side since he signed under former Jaap Stam this summer and looks to be on his way out of the club.
That certainly seems the case now with Dutch outlet Voetbal International claiming that Kelly will be allowed to leave by Dick Advocaat should the club receive an offer for the former Reading midfielder.
Along with Sunderland, MK Dons and Oxford United have been linked with the 24-year-old.

Riveros finds a new club
Former Sunderland midfielder Cristian Riveros is still playing at the age of 37 and has just found a new club.
Uruguayan club Nacional are building a side to compete in next season’s Copa Sudamericana and have agreed a deal to bring Riveros as their first signing of that push.
Riveros has signed a one-year deal with Nacional after leaving Uruguayan rivals Libertad on a free transfer.

Nomination for academy product
After initially struggling following his release from Sunderland, academy product James Talbot’s career has quickly got back on track.
After starring for Bohemians in the League of Ireland, the 22-year-old was called up for the full Republic of Ireland squad by Mick McCarthy last May for European Qualification matches against Denmark and Gibraltar.
He has now also been nominated for the 2019 SSE Airtricity/Soccer Writers’ Association of Ireland Goalkeeper of the Year award.
