Roker Riches: No Sunderland game... but is there money to be made on the FA Cup 2nd round?

Sunderland’s can’t ruin our hopes, dreams and betting slips this weekend as they aren’t playing, so we’re forced to get creative. What have you got on this weekend? Here are our “tips”...

Danny Roberts

The State of Play

Last weekend’s biggest winner was Gav, whose fourfold came in after a rotten run of not winning a penny in weeks. He raked in a profit of £117.28 thanks to wins from Spurs, Leicester, Brentford and Crewe, nudging him back up to third place.

Paul Fletcher’s gamble on Hibs paid off - he stuck his remaining balance on them to win in Jack Ross’s first game, and they didn’t disappoint. Matty Crichton’s EFL treble also came in, with the profit offsetting his outlay on Sunderland and Coventry to score over 2.5 goals.

The Table - Week #16

Banker’s Bonus...

Sunderland had to win both of their games this week for the Banker’s Bonus to come in and, well... they didn’t. He’s over the moon after having his pants pulled down in week #15!

This week’s bonus: If Chichester City can beat Tranmere on Sunday in the FA Cup, the banker will refund all losing bets this week. Good luck...

This week’s picks!

Gav is going with...

Fourfold: I’m going for wins from Leicester, Burton, Aberdeen and Dundee United this weekend. They’re all favourites so you can guarantee at least one result will let me down, but we’ll go for it anyways. £10 returns £83.

BTTS Treble: Spurs v Bournemouth, Derby v QPR and Hibs v Kilmarnock. I never usually do the BTTS bets but with no Sunderland game this weekend I’m forced to waste my money on something else instead... £10 returns £58.60.

Rory Fallow is going with...

Leicester to beat Everton and over 3.5 goals: A bit of a risk but looking at how good Leicester have been and how poor Everton are, The Foxes could give Silva’s men a shoeing. £10 returns £45.

Stoke & Derby double: Both are at home and they’re both good odds. Up the Potters and haway the Rams! £5 returns £24.

Danny Roberts is going with...

Double: No Sunderland game means I might actually win both my bets. I’m going to go for a double for my first bet, backing Yorkshire duo Leeds and Bradford both to win: £10 returns £24.

FA Cup & Premier League Acca : I’m going go for Pompey, Forest Green, Peterborough, Tranmere, Blackpool and Exeter in the FA Cup, and round it off with wins for Leicester and Liverpool in the Premier League. £10 returns £126.

Paul Fletcher is going with...

Hibernian to win and BTTS: Jack didn’t let me down last week and I’m predicting that he’ll make it 3 wins out of 3, on the road to fulfilling his destiny and becoming the most successful manager in the history of Scottish football. Kilmarnock are having a good season and sit comfortably in the top half of the SPL. I’m hoping they’ll manage to notch a consolation goal, despite Hibs dominating the game with their free- flowing, attacking football that Ross is so well known for. £14.37 returns £79.03.

Spanish Fourfold: Sociedad, Valencia, Seville & Ath Bilbao all to win their home games this weekend. I haven’t had much luck with my UK bets so I’ll give Spain a go. £7.50 returns £82.73.

Graham Falk is going with...

Fourfold: Liverpool, Portsmouth, Crewe and Leeds to win. All four are in good form and the odds are solid, if not amazing. £10 returns £36.77.

Bundesliga treble: It’s back baby! Ze Germans are the best and I’m backing Dortmund, Frankurt and Leipzig to bring in the euro’s this week. £10 returns £59.37.

Matty Crichton is going with...

Prem Fourfold: Chelsea, Spurs, Man Utd and Leicester are all clear favourites this weekend and should deliver the bag. £10 returns £41.06.

British fivefold: Leeds, Brentford, Torquay, Aberdeen and Motherwell to win. Keep an eye out for a goal from Aberdeen striker Sam Cosgrove. £10 returns £95.97.
