The win cemented the Lasses’ place at the top of the league, and the opened the scoring as early as the ninth minute through a strike from Neve Herron, who hit her third goal in two games. Top scorer Galloway’s double sealed the win, striking in the 36th and 54th minute - although Eva Rogers did score an late consolation for Loughborough Foxes.
Mel Reay sprung a surprise by starting last week’s match winner Herron on the left-hand side of midfield, but the decision was quickly vindicated as the teenager curled in a wonderful effort early doors following a great cross field ball from Keira Ramshaw.
Loughborough rallied a little following the early opener, but it wasn’t long before Sunderland doubled their lead - another great ball from Ramshaw playing in Jess Brown, who set up Galloway to smash home the second.
If the Foxes had any hope of a comeback though Sunderland killed it off, sealing the game early in the second half after great work from woman of the match Ramshaw, whose pin point cross was met by Galloway, her header flying into the net past Burle.
The impressive Rogers did sneak a consolation after a rare mix up at the back, but it was Reay’s side who once again showed just how good they are, racking up their sixth win on the bounce.
