Jack Ross has left Sunderland, according to Phil Smith of the Sunderland Echo.
The Scotsman took charge in the summer of 2018 but after a failure to get the club promoted and a poor start to this season he has left, with just under a year left on his contract.
A club press release is to follow shortly.
