The State of Play
Whisper it quietly, but the team seem to be doing alright so far and, after eight weeks, all but one of our pundits find themselves in profit - a rather unnerving situation.
Four of our six competitors made money last time around. Gav finds himself top of the table after making £12.50 profit as a result of his free bet, putting him just ahead of Danny Roberts, who lost money, in second place.
Graham Falk continues to make steady progress and he’s breathing down Danny’s neck, as is Paul Fletcher who, despite a bad week, is not far off the chasing pack.

Banker’s Bonus...
Our banker is glad he didn’t have to pay anything out last time around - but let’s be honest, he was asking a little much when he pledged he’d pay out if Sunderland could keep a clean sheet and Will Grigg could score a goal.
This week’s bonus: If Sunderland can finally keep a league clean sheet, the banker will give each of our pundits a free £10 bet on the Bulgaria v England game.
This week’s picks!
Gav is going with...
Sunderland to win & BTTS: I fancy us to just sneak this one. We’re terrible at keeping clean sheets though, so no doubt Lincoln will bag at least one - their front line is impressive. £10 returns £50.
Fourfold: Liverpool, Chelsea, Oxford and West Brom all to win - it seems the fixtures have fallen kindly from a betting perspective... watch them all lose. £10 returns £120.
Paul Fletcher is going with...
Sunderland to win 3-0: Enough messing around, it’s time for both me and Sunderland to get a big win and start building some momentum. The bookies don’t share my confidence and they’re offering odds of 22/1. £5 returns £115.
BTTS Sixfold: Derby vs Luton, Wycombe vs Peterborough, Crewe vs Exeter, Bromley vs Barrow, Chesterfield vs Eastleigh, Cowdenbeath vs Edinburgh City. Was only one goal away with a similar bet last weekend (cheers Southend!) - hoping I can go one better this time around. £7.50 returns £156.75.
Danny Roberts is going with...
Lincoln to win 2-1 & Tyler Walker to score anytime: Just have a feeling this is going to happen. It’ll be the standard Ross performance, and Lincoln will capitilise late on. £3 returns £138.
Five Fold: Preston and Swansea to both pick up home wins against struggling Barnsley and Stoke, Colchester to pick all three points against bottom-of-the-table Stevenage and Rangers and Aberdeen to get wins in the Scottish Premiership. £10 returns £138.77.
Rory Fallow is going with...
Max Power to score any time: Max has found his shooting boots and he’s going to score another beauty at Lincoln. £5 returns £42.50.
Sheffield United & Swansea to win: Both sides are great value considering they face struggling sides. The Blades might be away from home but they still have a great chance of beating Watford, while Championship table toppers Swansea should see off Stoke. £10 returns £72.
Graham Falk is going with...
Sunderland to keep a clean sheet: Saturday is going to be a 1-0 win to the Lads. I’m telling ya! £10 returns £28.75.
Bundesliga fourfold: The German season is back in full swing, so I’m reverting to my old habits and betting on the Bundesliga by going for wins at Hertha, Bayern, Schalke and M’gladbach. £10 returns £50.40.
Matty Crichton is going with...
Sunderland to win and BTTS: We have failed to keep a clean sheet all the season and the form of Jon McLaughlin provides me with zero confidence of that changing! £10 returns £47.50.
EFL Fourfold: Swansea to beat Stoke, Oxford to beat Accrington, Gillingham to beat Southend and Plymouth to beat Scunthorpe - should be easy money shouldn't it? £10 returns £146.99.
