The State of Play
Only our leader won any money last weekend - Danny Roberts made a small but tidy profit of £11.50 to extend his lead at the top whilst the rest of us lost money. Sunderland’s loss at Wycombe cost all of our pundits and it’s fair to say that we were suckered in by the romance that comes with appointing a new manager - luckily, Parky’s army turned things around on Tuesday and put five past Tranmere, so we’re in a far better position to judge what his side are capable of this weekend then we perhaps were this time last week.
The Table - Week #11

Banker’s Bonus...
We have a relieved banker this week - Sunderland’s failure at Wycombe means he didn’t have to shell out by refunding all the losing bets. Can he get one over on us this week?
This week’s bonus: If Sunderland score 2 or more goals against Shrewsbury then the banker will DOUBLE all of this week’s winnings. How d’ya like dem apples?!
This week’s picks!
Gav is going with...
Sunderland to win & over 1.5 goals: Shrewsbury are pretty solid at the back but I still feel confident that after Tuesday we’ll be on it and at ‘em. £10 returns £32.
Fourfold: Fleetwood, Ipswich, Chelsea and Leyton Orient to win...£10 returns £93.
Danny Roberts is going with...
Sunderland to win: Go on then, i’ll back the lads to pick up all three points this weekend. £5 returns £11.50.
Treble: Huddersfield, Fleetwood and Nottingham Forest to all pick up home wins. It’s a slightly risky one and the odds of a little-under 6/1 aren’t great, but it’s slim pickings this weekend and these are the only games standing out to me. £10 returns £64.76.
Rory Fallow is going with...
Sunderland to win to nil: Another win for the lads and another clean sheet. £10 returns £37.50.
TREBLE: Bournemouth to win away at the Premier League’s bottom club Watford, Championship table toppers West Brom to overcome Charlton at home and Nottingham Forest to beat struggling Reading. £5 returns £48.51.
Paul Fletcher is going with...
Sunderland to win 3-0: Shrewsbury will be a tougher test than Tranmere but I’m hoping we can put in a similar performance. Would be great to come away with a convincing win and another clean sheet. £5 returns £105.
BTTS Sixfold: Birmingham vs Luton, Bristol Rovers vs Portsmouth, Forest Green vs Crewe, Bromley vs Halifax, Kidderminster vs Kings Lynn and Havant & Waterlooville vs Concord Rangers. £7.50 returns £185.89.
Graham Falk is going with...
Time of first goal 1-15 mins: I think Sunderland will notch early on Saturday. Haway the lads! £10 returns £33.
Huddersfield, Fleetwood, Rangers treble: I can see wins for all three. £10 returns £38.13.
Matty Crichton is going with...
Sunderland to win both halves: Shrewsbury are the second lowers scorers in the division so I can see this being a comfortable affair - £10 returns £37.50
LEAGUE ONE TREBLE: Fleetwood should face no trouble against MK Dons, Peterborough have been electric at home and should beat Coventry, plus after scoring 7 in midweek I would expect Doncaster to beat struggling Tranmere - £10 returns £66.15.
