Roker Riches: Phew - no Sunderland game to ruin our betting slips this weekend...

One positive for Sunderland not playing this weekend is that there’s no potential of them ruining our betting slips! Instead, our attention turns to the international footy - who are you backing to win this weekend?

Danny Roberts

The State of Play

What a disaster!

A combination of optimism that Sunderland would win plus just about everyone thinking Stoke would lose again ensured that nobody came home with any profit this week.

Sunderland don’t play this weekend, so the Lads will have to be creative. International football is generally easier to predict than club games and that could mean our pundits will look to bounce back from last week’s disappointment with some profit going into week #10.

The Table - Week #9

Banker’s Bonus...

Sunderland didn’t keep a clean sheet. Banker wins. Blegh.

This week’s bonus: If England can score 3 or more goals against Bulgaria then the banker will give each of our pundits a free fiver bet to play with next weekend.

This week’s picks!

Gav is going with...

Treble: I’m attempting to play it safer this weekend. I’m taking Spain to win away at Norway, Bosnia to win at home to Finland, and for there to be over 2.5 goals in the game between Italy and Greece. £10 returns £60.

Half Time/Full Time: England to be winning at half time and full time against Bulgaria. £10 returns £36.

Paul Fletcher is going with...

Fourfold: If I was a football manager, I’d have been sacked for the kind of results I’m producing. Hoping that Barrow, Eastleigh, Peterborough and Cliftonville can all win their home games today and help me kickstart my title challenge. £12.50 returns £182.10.

International Sixfold: Croatia, Russia, Spain, Armenia, Italy, and Bosnia-Herzegovina all to win their Euro 2020 qualifiers this weekend. £5 returns £96.98.

Danny Roberts is going with...

Treble: I’m going to punt on home wins for Peterborough, Rochdale and Mansfield. The only risky one really should be Mansfield, although I think they’ll have enough to get past Oldham. £10 returns £107.44.

Matt Godden to Score 2 or More Goals vs Tranmere: I actually dislike betting on International fixtures, so I’m going to back Matt Godden to score a brace or more against Tranmere. £5 returns £45.

Rory Fallow is going with...

Wales to beat Croatia BTTS: Wales’ qualification hopes don’t look good and they’ll have to beat Croatia to still be in with a chance. Given they need a result, I’ll back them to pull it off but I can’t see them keeping a clean sheet. £10 returns £60.

Scotland and San Marino to draw: It probably won’t happen but if there was ever one team who was going to fail to beat San Marino... £10 returns £360.

Graham Falk is going with...

Euro fourfold: Bosnia, Romania, Sweden and Italy all to win their qualifiers. £10 returns £34.03.

League One treble: Bristol Rovers, Pompey and Coventry to win. £10 returns £60.69.

Matty Crichton is going with...

EURO 2020 Qualifiers fourfold: Republic of Ireland, Russia, Hungary and Poland to all win, the odds are never great in international fixtures! £10 returns £65.42.

EFL fourfold: I have went a little risky this week backing second bottom of League One to win, but that is what is gambling is all about. Portsmouth, Rochdale, Southend and Exeter to all collect 3 points. £10 returns £246.33.
