Sunderland have, according to Jack Pitt-Brooke of The Independent, made a £300,000 bid to sign Leyton Orient’s promising forward Josh Koroma.
Pitt-Brooke has said:
Sunderland have bid £300,000 for Leyton Orient striker Josh Koroma. The League One club want to boost their striking options after losing Josh Maja, so have targeted the 20-year-old who has been impressing for Orient in the National League this season.
The highly-rated 20 year old has scored 9 goals and registered 7 assists so far this season for the National League side, who are currently top of the table largely thanks to Koroma’s contributions on the field.
Koroma picked up a grade 2 hamstring tear in Orient’s 3-0 win over Maidstone United on Saturday, and the club confirmed that he’s expected to be out for between 3 and 4 weeks.
