Nick Mashiter of the Press Association has this morning reported that both Sunderland and Portsmouth have had bids rejected for Plymouth Argyle striker Freddie Ladapo.
Ladapo, who left Crystal Palace this time last year to join Southend United, has scored 12 goals in League One this season and has 3 assists - and because of his fine vein of form and his good age, he’s undoubtedly an attractive option for teams looking to add athleticism and goals to their forward line.
Sunderland’s bid to replace Josh Maja continues today, with bids for several strikers - including Will Grigg and John Marquis - all turned down by clubs who don’t necessarily want or need to sell their top marksmen.
