Sunderland midfielder Ethan Robson is in talks to join Scottish Premiership outfit Dundee on loan until the end of the season.
The academy product has only just returned from an ankle injury he picked up in the 3-1 Checkatrade Trophy win over Carlisle United, as he came on as a second half substitute in the 2-0 victory over Manchester City on his comeback.
After the return of another academy product in Grant Leadbitter, who signed from Middlesbrough yesterday, pushed him further down the pecking order at a time that he needs games, it looks as if he will link up head to Dundee where he will link up with Andrew Nelson who joined the club on a permanent deal earlier in the month.
Robson was set to start the League One opener against Charlton Athletic if he had been fit according to Jack Ross but has yet to feature in the league this season due to injuries and has been restricted to three appearances in the Checkatrade Trophy.
