TEAM NEWS: Sunderland starting XI unchanged; Bryan Oviedo named on the bench

Jack Ross’ Sunderland side remains unchanged from it’s midweek win at Gillingham, but standout Scunthorpe performer Bryan Oviedo might work his way back into the side via an appearance from the bench.

Clearly, the Sunderland gaffer reckons that if his side ain’t broke, there’s no need to try and fix it, as exemplified by the consistency between this team sheet and Wednesday’s.

Not only is the starting XI identical, but so is the bench - save for the inclusion of Bryan Oviedo back from injury, who takes up a spot at the expense of young Denver Hume.

Taking this solitary change into account, this is how our team shapes up:

Sunderland: Jon McLaughlin, Donald Love, Reece James, Glenn Loovens, Jack Baldwin, Lee Cattermole, Max Power, Lynden Gooch, George Honeyman (c), Chris Maguire, Josh Maja

Subs: Robbin Ruiter, Bryan Oviedo, Alim Ozturk, Dylan McGeouch, Luke O’Nien, Elliot Embleton, Bali Mumba

Will the same team reap the same result? Lets hope so.

Ha’way the Lads!
