Hannover confirm interest in Djilobodji
Despite chasing the signing of Norwich City defender Timm Klose, Hannover 96 remain interested in Sunderland’s AWOL defender Papy Djilobodji.
The German club’s president Martin Kind confirmed that they have been in discussions regarding the signings of both players, but said nothing will happen before Saturday’s game at Werder Bremen:
It’s open between the two of them, there are discussions but no commitment yet. There will probably be nothing before the Bremen game.
The Bundesliga side are not the only team tracking Djilobodji with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor again being linked with a move for the Senegalese international.
In fact, according to reports in Turkey, Trabzonspor and the player have agreed terms and all that’s left is for the Burgundy Blues to find an agreement with Sunderland.
Linked player signs new contract
Sunderland have been linked with a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Cameron John.
The 18-year-old was entering the final year of his deal at Molineux and reports suggested that Sunderland, Brighton & Hove Albion and Norwich City were hoping to lure him away from the Midlands club.
Those clubs will be left disappointed however as John has signed a new deal with Wolves that will keep him at the club until 2020.
Wolves are delighted to announce that Cameron John has signed a new two-year-deal with the club. Congratulations @CameronJohn_!

Veteran striker hopes to continue playing
Former Sunderland striker Milton Nunez is still playing and has no plans to retire just yet despite leaving Guatemalan club Universidad SC.
The Honduran is now 44-years-old but despite his age he says he has clubs from back home and Guatemala interested in his services:
Teams from Honduras have spoken to me but my intention is to continue in Guatemala, we will see what happens.
‘Tyson’ had been at Universidad since 2011, making over 200 appearances for the club.
