ROKER RICHES: All of our betting pundits are expecting Sunderland to beat Scunthorpe tomorrow!

New, comment

Sunderland face tough competition this weekend in Scunthorpe United but, not to be deterred, our pundits continue to put their money where their mouths are and back the Lads to come away with an emphatic three points!

Roker Riches

We’re two weeks in and it looks like we have a winner already!

Dan used his free bet - courtesy of the bankers bonus - to full effect, bringing in £209. Four of his five fold may have been favourites but no one really expected Crystal Palace to win at newly promoted Fulham, so Dan deserves his big wedge o’ cash.

That wasn’t the only decent set of winnings though - Danny Roberts made £60.16 thanks to a Swansea, Forest and Charlton treble but, like the rest of, we’re all playing catch up to Dan.

Let’s see if any of the lads can make up some much needed ground this week!

The Table...

The Banker’s Bonus...

Josh Maja made it two goals in two games against Luton Town. If he can make it three matches running against Scunthorpe United, the banker will give each player a free £10 bet on Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur.

Our Picks...

Gav - @Gav1879

Sunderland to win and over 1.5 goals: I think that we’ll win on Sunday, but I’m still trying to work this team out so making bold predictions at this stage probably isn’t wise. I’m playing it safe! £10 returns £23.75.

Fourfold: Middlesbrough, West Brom, Peterborough and Oldham. Haway! £12 returns £190.

Rory - @RoryFallow

Sunderland to win 2-0: Our play so far has merited a comfortable, stress free win and I reckon we’ll get that against Scunthorpe. £5 returns £42.50.

Leicester & Bournemouth to win: The Foxes are Evens to win at home to Wolves, which seems generous. Bournemouth travel to West Ham, who I just have a really bad vibe about this season. £5 returns £34.

Danny - @DJRoberts22

Sunderland v Scunthorpe - Over 2.5 goals: Some good odds on Sunderland’s game to finish over 2.5 goals again, so hopefully we can produce a goal-fest on Saturday. £5 returns £10.60.

West Ham, Charlton and Barnsley all to win: Risking it a little with West Ham, who face Bournemouth, but Charlton should pick up an away win against Accrington Stanley while Barnsley will no doubt continue their good start to the season when they face Wimbledon at Oakwell. £10 returns £86.10.

Bromley - @connorbromley

Sunderland to win: Such is my confidence heading into this weekend’s game against Scunny, I am backing Sunderland to win with £50! Yes. FIFTY QUID! £50 returns £92.50.

Cardiff to win: Such is my confidence that the Mags will get beat against Cardiff this weekend, I am backing the Welsh side to win with £50! Yes. FIFTY QUID! £50 returns £155.

Dan Parker - @DGP202

Sunderland to win, Maja to score anytime, at least one booking in the game, and Sunderland to win by two goal margin or more: Did alright last week so this bet is a bit more ambitious. Ha’way the Maja and ha’way the Lads! £5 returns £28.75.

Man City, Leeds, and Sunderland treble: My second bet is a treble and I’m so confident in Sunderland this weekend I’m including them in my bet again. £10 returns £30.80.

Chris - @chrissavedlatin

Sunderland to win over 2.5 goals - I’m backing the lads to come good this week again despite letting me down big time against Luton. £12 returns £36.

West Ham, Newcastle & Wolves to win and BTTS - A risky one that I reckon might actually come off, put your mortgage on this one folks! £3 returns £433.13.

Graham - @AsylumDoors

Sunderland to win: I fancy us to recover from our midweek defeat, with Maja notching. £5 returns £9.17.

Celtic, Man Utd and Arsenal to win: A safer bet never normally comes out for me but...f*ck it. £3 returns £27.22.
