Roker Report Recruitment: We’re looking for new writers to join our team of Sunderland fans

Roker Report are looking to bring on board passionate, creative Sunderland supporters that would like to join our already established team of writers ahead of next season.

We want you!
Roker Report

It’s been a while since we had a round of recruitment here at Roker Report, and ahead of the new season we always get inundated with messages via social media and email from supporters who are keen to get involved with the site and the Podcast we produce.

So, with that in mind, I’d like to offer our readers the opportunity to apply to write for the site, get involved with our weekly Roker Rapport Podcast, our match coverage, news team, Youtube TV show and everything else that we here at Roker Report do.

If you’d like to get involved, please email us at RokerReport@Yahoo.co.uk with a brief introduction to who you are, how long you’ve supported the club for, your writing background (experience is preferred but not essential) and, most importantly, an example of your written work that relates in some way to Sunderland.

Writing for Roker Report is great fun. It affords normal fans like you and I the opportunity to express our opinions on the club on a platform that reaches an average of 500,000 readers every single month, and on a Podcast that recently made it to the top of the iTunes sports chart.

Having your work read by thousands of people every day looks great as part of your portfolio for your studies, or for those of us who aren’t still in education it’s a chance to have our voices heard and, above all else, it’s a pretty fun hobby to have.

Our current team of writers are made up of people ranging between their teens and their sixties. All that is important is that you have a genuine enthusiasm for writing regularly and a passion for all things Sunderland AFC.

Please be aware that writing for this site is a labour of love and is purely voluntary - this isn’t a full or part time job, but an occasional hobby for talented and creative individuals.

So if you’d like to get involved, just fire us an email with all the relevant details and we’ll get back in touch with you once applications close this coming Sunday, the 8th of July at 4pm BST.

Good luck!
