Sunderland have made their eighth new addition of the season after former Everton and Swansea defender Jack Bainbridge arrives at the club on a free transfer.
Bainbridge - a 20 year old centre back who hails from Southport - will join up with Elliott Dickman’s U23s side ahead of next season, the second addition made to our youth squad following the arrival of former Liverpool midfielder Jordan Hunter.
#SAFC have completed the signing of defender Jack Bainbridge, who will join up with the Lads' under-23 outfit.

Bainbridge spent five years at Everton before he was released in the summer of 2017, and was quickly snapped up by the Swans on a one year deal once he became available.
He featured sparingly last season for their second string but did make appearances for their U23s side in both the league and the Checkatrade Trophy.
The addition of Bainbridge to Dickman’s squad further signals an intent by the club with their new vision to pick up players with potential from top academies in a bid to nurture them within our own system, and it’s thought that further additions of this kind will be made over the coming weeks, with another young player from Liverpool in discussions with the club with a view to joining our setup.
