TRANSFER UPDATE: Sunderland striking target seemingly confirms his future has been resolved

We know we’re in for him, and we know we’ve made him a very good offer - but is Lyle Taylor on his way to Sunderland... or is he headed elsewhere?

Stewart Donald confirmed last week on the Roker Rapport Podcast that an offer for the ex-Falkirk forward had been submitted, but very little else has been said since - until today.

In a post on his Instagram story, Taylor simply posted the word ‘DONE’ - indicating that he’s finally reached an agreement on his future with someone.

Is that club Sunderland? Who knows - I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.

Other clubs thought to be interested in him have been Bristol Rovers, Charlton Athletic and a host of Championship sides that felt he’s capable of making the step up into a higher division having scored so successfully for Wimbledon last season.
