Roker Riches: Season Finale - Which of our writers will walk away as the 17/18 betting Champion?

Roker Report’s gambling champion 17/18 will be named this weekend!

Losers... what a bunch of losers.

No, I’m not talking about our beloved football club, I’m talking about our unlucky gamblers. There were no winning bets last week, leaving most of us wishing that rich benefactor would agree to clear all of our debts.

The string of losses meant Gav retained his place at the top but Dan only needs a £48 swing to nick the top spot on the final day. It will take a Gus Poyet sized miracle to get Connor off the bottom but the treble he’s laid on to attempt that miracle does look tasty though.

Will there be any final day twists or are the Roker Report betting committee going down with a whimper?

The Table...

The Banker’s Bonus...

It’s the last day of the season so the bankers bonus will have to roll over to next season. With that in mind, if Sunderland overcome Premier League bound Wolves then the banker will up everyone’s starting stake to £100 for the start of the next campaign.

Our Picks...

Walshie - @Walshie409

Sunderland to win: Lol. £5 returns £30.

Bayern to win by 4 or more: They’re angry and ready to my boys Koln a firm, hard drilling. £5 returns £27.50.

Gav - @Gav1879

Benik Afobe to score anytime v Sunderland: We struggle like mad against big, physical strikers and Afobe will be looking to impress ahead of entering the Premier League. £1 returns £5.25.

Fourfold: Everton, Blackburn, Lincoln and Glasgow Rangers. £4 returns £32.72.

Rory - @RoryFallow

John O’Shea to score any time: I’m not going to win this thing, so I might as well go daft. It could be his last ever game for Sunderland so let’s have Sheasy go out with a goal. £5 returns £60.

Crystal Palace & Everton double: Both face relegation threatened sides and I reckon they’ll make life even tougher for Stoke & Southampton. £5 returns £38.81.

Danny - @DJRoberts22

Sunderland v Wolves - Wolves to win: We’ll have our kids alongside a team who don’t give a shit. £50 returns £76.67.

Everton, Lincoln to win: Everton will end Southampton’s hopes of staying up, Lincoln will boost their play-offs hopes with a home win against Yeovil and Mansfield to keep the Imps on their toes with victory against Crawley. £50 returns £318.37.

Connor - @ConnorBromley

Wolves and over 3.5 goals: We might have new owners but we still have the same shite 11. Defeat nailed. £50 returns £180.

Stoke, West Ham and Newcastle to win: Aye, last chance saloon here. But this should work. I hate all three of these teams so backing them to pick up wins seems a smart bet. £50 returns £1342.69.

Graham - @AsylumDoors

Sunderland to lose by 2 or more: Wolves will be too strong for us. £5 returns £11.

Stoke & Southampton to win: I fancy both teams to pick up surprise wins considering the position that they find themselves in. £20 returns £130.

Dan Parker - @DGP202

Over 2.5 goals Sunderland v Wolves: I’ve got a chance of winning this thing. And I’m not going to hold back. First up is £50 on over 2.5 goals in the game. £50 returns £83.33.

Southampton to beat Everton: Not sure why but I can sense Southampton getting an unlikely result away at Everton to keep their survival chances alive. It’s another £50 on this one. £50 returns 131.25.
