Jarrow-born midfielder Chris Allan is to play a trial game this evening for Bolton Wanderers U23s, according to the Bolton News.
As Roker Report revealed earlier this month, Allan - along with Josh Robson - has been told he can move elsewhere if he can find himself another club.
The 19-year old has barely featured in the second part of this season for Elliott Dickman’s development squad and after a short stint on loan with Dunston UTS, Allen has found himself with a fantastic opportunity whilst on trial with fellow Championship side Bolton, who also signed former Sunderland favourite Jan Kirchhoff recently.
Primarily a defensive midfielder, Allan can play off the left and is known for his tough-tackling and work-rate amongst his peers.
