Fabio Borini added a second goal in as many games for loan club AC Milan in a 3-0 away win to Ludogorets in the Europa League last Thursday - with the 26-year-old coolly firing home to complete a comfortable victory for I Rossoneri.
The versatile Italian replaced Turkish free-kick specialist Hakan Calhanoglu in the 75th minute and managed to bag a second goal in 27 Serie A, Coppa Italia and Europa League appearances for Gennaro Guttuso’s side.
Although the 26-year-old has been amongst the goals in recent weeks he has been unable to nail down a position in the first team and has played at right wing back, right midfield, in behind the striker and in a lone role up front.
Academy graduate Tom Beadling has started his stint north of the boarder well, making two appearances for Scottish Championship side Dunfermline in as many weeks. The defender even chimed in with a debut goal in a 2-1 loss away Morton.
The 22-year-old then starred in the Pars’ goalless draw with Livingston last Saturday but picked up a yellow card in the process.
The move to Scotland sees Barrow-born Beading link up with former Sunderland favourite Allan Johnston at East Ends Park following his failure to force a way into Chris Coleman’s plans on Wearside.
Speaking to the Dunfermline Press regarding parent club Sunderland, Beadling said:
It is a great club and a big club. They’re obviously not doing too well at the minute but hopefully they can turn it around.
I spent the majority of my time growing up there and I learned a lot.

Papy Djilobodji's Ligue 1 side Dijon have struggled in recent weeks, and the Senegalese defender was unable to prevent the floodgates from opening when Olivier Dall’Oglio's side succumbed to a 4-0 defeat away to Monaco two weeks ago.
The 29-year-old started again as he helped Dijon keep a clean sheet as they travelled away from home again to face Troyes in the Stade de l’Aube last Thursday. Djilobodji played the full 90 minutes in goals draw, leaving his side 13th in France's top-flight.

Elsewhere in Ligue 1, Whabi Khazri missed out on Rennes 2-2 draw against Caen at the weekend due to a suspension - a real shame for the Tunisian international after his heroics two week’s ago propelled his side to an unlikely 2-0 away victory against Olympique Lyonnais.
Since arriving back in France the former Bordeaux man has been impressive, showing quality and goal-scoring prowess. The 27-year-old has played mainly as a false nine and off the left in a front three for Sabri Lamouchi’s Les Rouges et Noirs.

Jeremain Lens was an unused substitute as his Beşiktaş teammates received a real hammering at the hands of Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week.
The 30-year-old Dutch winger has struggled to cement a starting position since his summer arrival, often coming on late in games from the bench.
Despite replacing Louis Longridge for a cameo appearance in the Scottish Cup, Andrew Nelson failed to play any part in Falkirk's 1-0 victory away Brechin City in the Scottish Championship.
Since departing Sunderland in the January transfer window, the 20-year-old striker has made six league appearances, scoring one goal.
The 20-year-old’s loan at the Falkirk Stadium runs until the completion of the Scottish Championship season, and still has one more year left on his Sunderland contract having signed a new deal before he departed the club last month.
Republic of Ireland U19 goalkeeper James Talbot yet again failed to appear for Darlington as his side lost 3-0 away Brackley Town in the Conference North.
Talbot picked up a needless ban in his last outing against Alfreton Town on January 16th after being sent off for his involvement in an altercation with Tom Allan.
