As we covered in this morning’s edition of Roker Roundup, Juan Sartori revealed in an interview with media outlet Teledoce that he will be giving up his entrepreneurial career, including selling all businesses, to concentrate on his political ambitions in his native Uruguay.
Despite fears that his 20% interest in Sunderland may have been included in those sales, Stewart Donald took to Twitter to confirm that Sartori will remain involved in the club.
According to Donald, the Uruguayan presidential hopeful is a Sunderland fan now and despite being busy, he is committed to the club.
No he is with us. Not going anywhere. We only chatted this week and he is busy but good.— stewart donald (@stewartdonald3) December 14, 2018

Expanding on the Gooch and Maja update, Donald also replied to Twitter users to say that Sunderland are trying to finalise a deal with Maja and are hopeful both will commit their future to the club.
