Roker Riches: Sunderland host massively out-of-form Bristol Rovers - 7/10 seems fair, fancy it?

They’ve got no manager and have lost their last four League games, but can Bristol Rovers spring a surprise and deny Sunderland what seems an almost certain victory this weekend?

Bit of a mismatch this weekend, but can Bristol Rovers spring a surprise on Sunderland?
Danny Roberts | RokerReport.com

The deluge that was Accrington Stanley meant we had to void all of our Sunderland bets from the last round. So you would be forgiven for presuming that our gamblers barely made any money. However, you would be dead wrong to think that!

Graham went and pulled himself out of the red by bringing in £122 for a start. Not only did he win his free bet last week, he also won a nice Bundesliga based treble which made him the biggest winner of the round. Elsewhere, Gav stamped his authority on first place by winning £71 and pushing his overall balance to over £500! Second place Dan has a battle on his hands if he wants to catch up, as do the rest of us.

If anything, this shows that we don’t actually need Sunderland to make money but a win against Bristol Rovers certainly won’t harm the balances. Let’s see if our pundits can make some dollar inside and outside of Wearside in the latest picks...

The Table...

The Banker’s Bonus...

If Sunderland get back to winning ways and keep a clean sheet against Bristol Rovers, the Banker will give each player a free £20 Premier League four fold.

Our Picks...

Gav - @Gav1879

Sunderland to win & over 1.5 goals in the game: I’m pretty confident that the lads will win this weekend, even despite some indifferent results recently. £50 returns £100.

Fourfold: Northampton, Doncaster, Leeds & Wolves. £10 returns £111.

Rory - @RoryFallow

Half time/full time: Sunderland/Sunderland: About time we had another comfortable win and with Bristol Rovers in disarray, Saturday could be perfect for it. £10 returns £25.

Huddersfield to win & under 2.5 goals: While this game could easily go either way, I’m pretty confident that it will be a low scoring affair. £10 returns £45.

Danny - @DJRoberts22

Sunderland v Bristol Rovers - Sunderland to win: Confident about this game. £30 returns £51.90.

Treble - Watford, Lincoln & Tottenham all to win: I expect easy home wins for the trio. £15 returns 42.41.

Connor - @connorbromley

Sunderland to win with a two goal handicap: Even after the abysmal showing against Walsall midweek I am still confident that Sunderland can beat managerless Bristol Rovers. So confident in fact, that they can do it with a two goal handicap. £50 returns £250.

Spurs, Man City and Barnsley to win: Spurs should easily dismantle Burnley at home while Manchester City should dispatch of Everton. Barnsley face Pompey in a huge game in League One, and I reckon the Tykes will give our main rivals a second defeat in a week. £10 returns £32.50.

Dan Parker - @DGP202

Sunderland to win: Boosh. Nice and positive with this one. Maximum stake, and hopefully not in vain. Ha’way the Lads. £50 returns £82.50.

Sixfold Acca: Sunderland, Arsenal, Lincoln, Brondby, Rangers, and Madrid to win. And I’m putting a tenner on it too as I need to catch Gav up. £10 returns £107.91.

Chris - @chrissavedlatin

Half time/full time: Sunderland/Sunderland: I’m backing the lads to wipe the floor with these jobbers on Saturday, but I’m over £150 in the red so what do I know? £50 returns £125.

Peterborough, Leeds, Wolves and Spurs to win: Four favourites again... £20 returns £257.04.

Graham - @AsylumDoors

Sunderland to win and over 2.5 goals: I do fancy a win this week, and I think an early goal will fire us to a fairly easy victory. £5 returns £12.50.

Dortmund, Leipzig and Hoffenheim to win: My Bundesliga treble did me beautifully last week, so why not follow suit? £20 returns £80.89.
