Roker Riches: SAFC v Boro; What bets are our pundits backing for the FA Cup clash on Teesside?

Here’s this week’s Dafabet betting preview from the Roker Report lads - and Sunderland are great odds to pick up an unfamilar victory on Teesside this weekend. Fancy a flutter?

Roker Riches!

We’re back to being terrible! Just like Sunderland, we seem to have one good week and then crash back to reality.

Everyone lost money except Graham last time out. He’s still in the red but if he wins both bets this week, he’ll shoot right out!

Our table is resembling the Premier League now - Gav is like Manchester City, and the rest of us are just battling for second. Thankfully, it’s pretty close after that with less than four quid separating Rory, Walshie and Dan. Let’s ignore the fact that none of us are in treble figures... cheers.

So, full of the joys and optimism of a new year, here’s what the gamblers are going for this week.

The Table...

The Banker’s Bonus...

If Sunderland make it into the 4th Round of the FA Cup, the banker will give each player a free £10 bet on next week’s Premier League fixture between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Our Picks...

Gav - @Gav1879

Sunderland to win & both teams to score, 11/1: Why the hell not? I know we’ve not really got much of a chance, but... meh. I’M A GAMBLER! £8 returns £96.

Wolves to beat Swansea & Bristol City to beat Watford (double): The odds for this double are ridiculous. Two of the best teams in the Championship! £20 returns £234.

Rory - @RoryFallow

Middlesbrough 0-0 Sunderland: The game a couple of months ago was tight and I reckon this one will go the same way. Either that, or Boro hump or threadbare side. £5 returns £32.50.

Carlisle & Exeter to win: Carlisle are great odds considering they’re playing a bang out of form Sheffield Wednesday. Similarly, Exeter are 4/1 and they host a struggling West Brom, so let’s hope for a couple of upsets. £5 returns £100.

Middlesbrough v Sunderland - Sky Bet Championship
It was a dull affair when Sunderland met Middlesbrough at the Riverside in November. Will it be different this time?

Connor Bromley - @connorbromley

Boro to win and both teams to score - I really can not see a win. Boro are better than their performances this season. We are awful. But i can see us nicking a goal. £5 returns £21.

Luton and Wigan to win - Both of these sides are going well in their respective divisions and travel to Premier League opposition this weekend. Luton go to Newcastle who have not won in six Premier League games. Wigan go to Bournemouth who always seem to have a poor result in them. Mark my words - these will be the shock results of the weekend! £3 returns £78.

Graham - @AsylumDoors

Middlesbrough to win 2-0: I don’t think we’ll get smashed, but I can’t see anything but a routine win for ‘Boro. £5 returns £30.

Aston Villa, Blackburn, Cardiff, Man. Utd, Newcastle, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man. City all to win: Ambitious, but I fancy all these teams to win in 90 mins, with only Blackburn not favourites. £5 returns £139.08.

Danny - @DJRoberts22

Middlesbrough to beat Sunderland: We don’t have a team, easy win for the Teesiders. £5 returns £8.33.

Napoli, Valencia, Milan and Roma all to win: . I’ve got to win one of these one day, surely? £10 returns £42.80.

Tom - @Tommyakki

Sunderland to win 4-0: Keep the faith in Cookie Coleman, wa’ ganna give them a good hiding - mark my words. £1 returns £251.

European Sixfold: Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Milan, Napoli, Roma. Ha’way! £10 returns £91.88.

Dan Parker - @DGP202

Boro v Sunderland BTTS: Both teams are dreadful. Worth a punt. £10 returns £22.50.

8 fold acca: Accrington Stanley, Spurs, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Bilbao, Napoli, and Barcelona. Make it rain. £8 returns £127.84.
