The group’s poor betting form continued last weekend as we really seem to be trying to emulate our hapless Sunderland - I don’t know if it’s subconscious, or just the fact that most of us keeping backing The Lads... maybe it’s a mixture of both.
The only player to make a profit last week was Connor, and even that was a measly £2.50. You know things are bad when me getting my fiver back for McGeady not playing (I backed him to score any time) is one of the best results of the weekend.
More bad news - another gambler has fallen into debt! Tom lost both of his bets and is now £3 into the red, so he’ll need some wins quickly to prevent a spiral.

The Banker’s Bonus...
If the Black Cats maul the Tigers, the banker will give each player a free £5 treble on next weekend’s FA Cup Fourth Round games.
Our Picks...
Gav - @Gav1879
Hull to win, 6/4: I’m using some reverse psychology shit here. We’ll win cos I’ve put this bet on, you can guarantee it. £5 returns £12.50.
Spurs, Cardiff & Wigan treble: I haven’t won in a while have I? F*ck it. £50 returns £327.38.
Rory - @RoryFallow
Sunderland to win & under 2.5 goals: We can’t score, they can’t score - but I’ll cling onto my positivity that The Lads will still come away with three points. £5 returns £26.25.
Liverpool to win & over 3.5 goals: Away to a terrible Swansea side and off the back of a great win over Manchester City, Klopp’s Kopites should win in style. £5 returns £15.
Connor Bromley - @connorbromley
Sunderland and Hull to draw: Why am I so optimistic to expect Sunderland to draw at home to a side hovering just above the relegation zone? No idea. But I am expecting a crap game this weekend between two sides bereft of confidence. £5 returns £16.
Man City and Stoke double: Man City will be reeling after their first defeat of the season against Liverpool last week. Luckily they are back at home this weekend and entertain Newcastle United. Stoke have Paul Lambert in the dug out this weekend for the visit of Huddersfield. The Terriers lost 4-1 at home last week to West Ham and seem to have had their Premier League bubble burst - the perfect game for Lambert to start with. £5 returns £11.62.
Graham - @AsylumDoors
Sunderland & Hull to draw - Both teams are utterly horrific. I am going to say it’ll be a draw. £3 returns £9.60.
Preston, Norwich, Wolves, Man City & Bayern fivefold - City & Bayern have never let me down this season. Wolves did last week, but they’ll make up for it this time. Norwich will be buoyed by their performance at Stamford Bridge. PNE should get past Birmingham. £5 returns £43.51.
Tom - @Tommyakki
Sunderland to win & under 2.5 goals: First time this season I’ve slipped into the negatives - deary me. Anyhow, I fancy Coleman et al to bag a win against an equally poor Hull side. £10 returns £52.50.
Spurs, Cardiff & Wigan treble: Heh heh heh, my sneaky tactic of copying the top dog will work eventually. I feel like the Roker Report Andy Bernard - ri di dit do doo! £50 returns £327.38.
Dan Parker - @DGP202
Sunderland and Hull to draw: Whenever we need to win a game, we always draw. Or lose. We don’t win our “winnable” games. £5 returns £16.
10 team acca: Arsenal, City, Spurs, Atletico, Real Madrid, Lazio, Leeds, Luton, Oxford, and Celtic to win. Make it rain, boys. £8 returns £398.14.
Walshie - @Walshie409
Hull to win to nil: I wanted to put Jack Rodwell to score anytime for the sheer craic but there are no markets on it, spoilsports. Anyway, we’ll all go into this thinking we can finally turn it around and beat a relegation rival, blah blah blah. We’ll start well, miss a few chances then Frazier Campbell will score and we’ll lose. £4 returns £16.
Kilmarnock, St Johnstone, East Fife, Hamilton, Peterhead and Celtic all to win: Scottish Cup Special, baby! Also, if Celtic conspire to lose then I’m giving up on fictional betting as Brechin are 125/1. £2 returns £52.08.
