With most of us backing Sunderland to at least not lose, it was a pretty poor week all round. In fact, only Tom Atkinson, who backed a Cardiff win (the disgusting traitor) was able to register a profit in week seven. There was a win for our other Tom, though, as Walshie simply backed both teams to score between ourselves and The Bluebirds. It’s a shame his other bet tanked, so he actually lost 34p.
Shout out to Bayern Munich as well, as their unexpected draw at home to Wolfsburg downed most of our risk free Bundesliga accas.
Let’s hope the gamblers have a lot more luck this week as they look to turn punts into pounds, as we head into an international break.

Our Picks...
Gav - @Gav1879
Preston & over 2.5 goals @ 15/8: I don’t even want to contemplate losing another game, but I do think that it’s going to happen and that there’ll be a fair few goals in this one. £15 returns £43.13.
Villa, Blackburn, Accrington & Macclesfield to win: Another fourfold of favourites that returns a very decent amount of profit. I’m crossing all of my fingers. £5 returns £74.36.
Rory - @RoryFallow
Aiden McGeady to score any time: I’m still not at the stage where I can bet against us but not confident enough to put money on the lads winning. At 5/1, McGeady getting us another consolation goal is pretty good value though. £5 returns £30.
Ipswich Town & Leeds United to win: Odds of 2/1 for The Tractor Boys to overcome Bristol City at home is very appealing. Leeds are a decent price to win away at a Sheffield Wednesday side who are in poor form at the moment too. I’d definitely recommend having a fiver on this. £5 returns £46.50.
Connor Bromley - @connorbromley
Jordan Hugill to score anytime: I am struggling more than Sunderland at the moment, especially after a decent early start. Therefore it seems likely that Jordan Hugill will get me out of my bad run. £2 returns £5.
Hibernian to beat Celtic: So realistically Celtic should never lose a game in the SPL - but Neil Lennon returns to Celtic Park this weekend and I think he leaves with a victory. I have always liked Hibs, and I think they are going to cause Celtic more problems than Rangers did last weekend in the Old Firm. Celtic had a difficult European trip midweek, which they won comfortably, but it will surely have taken something out of them. £2 returns £19.

Preston and Sunderland BTTS: I’ve won one bet all season and that was back on the opening day. Even when I bet on us to lose, the useless bastards manage a draw. Anyway... with McGeady in the team, there’s goals in us - sadly with our back four, we’ll also concede. £5 brings in £9.25.
Arsenal, Inter Milan & Celtic to win, Rangers/Bayern Munich/Man Utd draw no bet, Chelsea/Man City BTTS: A big accumulator win is needed to claw me back in contention, so I’m playing it fairly safe, but throwing a huge sum of money at it. £50 returns £207.36. Shit or bust time.
Danny - @DJRoberts22
Preston to beat Sunderland: Obviously. £5 returns £9.25.
Coventry, Wigan, Blackburn and Rotherham all to win: My accas have been terrible recently, so I need to sort my life out this week. I'll bet on wins for Coventry, Wigan, Blackburn and Rotherham. £10 returns £56.42
Tom - @Tommyakki
Preston to score first and lose: Why not? I’ve bet against us a fair few times this season and won; I might as well go for something a bit ambitious. £2 returns £54.
Five-fold accumulator: I’ve gone for Tottenham, Man United, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Middlesbrough wins. £4 returns £21.71.
Dan Parker - @DGP202
Preston to win and BTTS - 3/1: I like the look of this. Yes, this is the first time I’ve bet on us to lose this season. No, I don’t care. £4 returns £16.
Another week, another acca. I was just one result away from a big win last week but that will not deter me. Oh no. This week I’ve gone for: Wigan, Blackburn, Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Man Utd, Spurs, PSG, PSV, Celtic, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. £8 on 12 team acca returns £186.55.
Walshie - @Walshie409
Preston to win by 2 or more goals: I’m going for the ol’reverse psychology and will happily lose money if Sunderland could just win a bastard game of association football. That said, I think we’ll get battered. £3 at 7/2 wins £13.50.
Manchester United vs Crystal Palace BTTS: Fair play to Crystal Palace for racing to get relegated - even more kudos for the fact they’re determined to not score a single goal in the process. Excellent commitment to the brand. Anyway, I reckon they’ll score at Old Trafford out of pure irony. £3 at 7/4 wins £8.25.
