After the underwhelming response to Sunderland’s 2017-18 red-and-white home shirt, the club have opted for a solid block blue - but slightly eye-popping - away kit.
'Sky blue' perhaps to the untrained eye. At least that's what it appears to be.

The shirt’s sneak peak occurred a couple of hours ahead of Friday’s season opener against Derby County.
Whilst no official announcement has been made, it would be a strange occurance if this wasn't indeed the new kit.
Roker Report were told months ago that the new away kit would be sky blue - with a silver/grey offering as our third option.

Made by Adidas for the sixth season running, the new change kit will travel to such far flung outposts as Cardiff, Millwall and of course Burton-on-Trent in the coming months.
