Roker Riches: Week #2 - Early success; who sits top of the leaderboard?

We’re one week in to Roker Riches an already someone has taken the initiative, winning an acca that netted over £90 quid. Fancy a bet?

The greatest betting feature on the world wide web is back for the new season!
Danny Roberts

We’re one week in and Dan Parker has done what he was unable to achieve in a full series last season - HE’S ONLY GONE AND WON AN ACCA!

That puts him on £140.17 after just one week, way ahead of anyone else.

Elsewhere there were some minor wins for Rory, Danny, Walshie and Graham.

League Table

This Week's Bonus Prize...

If Sunderland can beat Norwich, the banker has promised to gift all of our writers with a £10 free acca bet... on the Chinese Super League.

Our Picks...

Gav - @Gav1879

Lets see what you lot picked for me this week, then...

I can live with that. £5 returns £42.50.

Errrr... ok. That was overwhelmingly one-sided. Arsenal are playing Leicester tonight at home and will be on a bounce after winning the Community Shield last weekend, whilst Spurs are playing Newcastle on Sunday. Hopefully the Danny Rose controversy won’t have rocked them too much. £5 returns £12.90.

Rory - @RoryFallow

SAFC win + BTTS - 15/2: Our defence still doesn't look complete so I expect Norwich to take advantage of that but they have similar defensive frailties, which will hopefully see us edge the game. £5 returns £42.50.

Huddersfield to beat Palace w/ over 2.5 goals - 7/1: I fancy David Wagner’s newly-promoted side to cause an upset in their season opener against Crystal Palace. £5 returns £40.

Connor Bromley - @connorbromley

Aiden McGeady to score anytime - 4/1: McGeady has looked pretty good in his first couple of Sunderland outings and I feel a goal is imminent. At this price for a goal anytime is a steady risk I am willing to take. £5 returns £25.

Chelsea, Hull, Blackburn, Celtic and Blyth Spartans to win: Chelsea should dispose of Burnley easily enough. Hull looked surprisingly good against Villa at the weekend so they should beat Burton at home. Blackburn lost their opening game so I am hoping a bounce back against newly promoted Doncaster is coming. Celtic in any league game is a banker. And I have pitched for my local team Blyth Spartans to beat Tamworth at home to get off the board and running after 2 defeats to start the season. £2 returns £22.16.

Graham - @AsylumDoors

I’m going for a score draw for the Lads - 7/2: I tipped Norwich to win the league this year, so it’s going to be a tough game, but I think we can go there and get something - but we will likely concede. £5 returns £22.50.

Man City, Man Utd, Palace & Chelsea fourfold: A safe-ish bet, with only Crystal Palace the potential ruiners of the slip. £20 returns £79.44.

Danny - @DJRoberts22

Sunderland to win - 16/5: I was going to bet on Norwich to win, however, I've just seen Dafabet are pricing a Sunderland win at 16/5. £5 returns £21.

Nice, Silkeborg, Vitesse, Akhisar and Bordeaux to win: For my second bet, I'll risk it a little and go for a five fold of Nice, Silkeborg, Vitesse, Akhisar and Bordeaux. £10 returns £146.25.

Walshie - @Walshie409

Lewis Grabban to score and a draw - 12/1: Big dawg Lewis Grabban leathered in 13 league goals for Norwich and you better believe he’s going to do the business for The Lads on Sunday. Also, both teams are creaky as owt at the back so they’re both going to score. £5 returns £61.20.

Chelsea, Hull, PSV Eindhoven, Sheffield Wednesday - 6/1: Following the success of my patented Elite Big Dawgs Battering Jobbers bet last week I’m going for a similar tactic this week. Sheffield Wednesday will inevitably knack this up. £5 returns £27.35.

Tom - @Tommyakki

I am quite literally terrible at gambling, and last week’s bets probably go some way to confirming that notion. However, this week I have a trick up my sleeve. This week my wife will be choosing my bets in an attempt at finding some beginner’s luck. My Mrs. is a former professional softball player, but has very limited knowledge in terms of football; therefore, her choices have been interesting to say the least.

Sunderland to win and both teams to score - 6/1: Fair enough to begin with as a relatively conservative bet is placed for Sunderland to win away to Norwich and both teams to score - can’t really argue with that. £3 wins £21.

Fivefold Accumulator - I handed the phone over and I guess the Danish Superliga was the first competition you could gamble on, so that’s what we’re going with. Apparently Lyngby and Sonderjyske are going to share the spoils whilst Copenhagen, Nordsjaelland, Brøndby IF, and AGF Aarhus are all going to bring home the bacon. Christ help me. £1 wins £68.47.

Dan Parker - @DGP202

Sunderland to beat Norwich - 16/5: Hopefully we can nick a result and surprise the pundits here. £5 returns £21.

Lukaku to score 1st & MUFC to win: I don’t understand why Lukaku gets so much criticism when his goalscoring record at his age is phenomenal. I’m backing him to score the first goal on his debut and Man Utd to win against West Ham at a canter. £5 returns £19.72.
