Dafabet Roker Riches finale - who walked away as our 2016/17 betting champion?

It's the final installment for Roker Riches this season and with that in mind we're unveiling this week's results after our games have been played - who came out on top, and who won the dreaded toilet seat?

The table going into this week...

Danny Roberts was cruising at the top of the league, meaning it was going to take an almighty gamble from the other pundits to topple him. Did anyone do it?

Gav - @Gav1879

For my first bet I'm putting £1.39 on a Chelsea win against Sunderland, which returns £1.54.

And in my second I'm going all or nothing - £120 on a non-league finals day double of Macclesfield Town and South Shields. If that wins I will hopefully come out as the winner at the end of this series... Ha'way the Mariners!

Outcome: Chelsea won but the non-league finals day gamble failed to pay off.

Final total: A Pitiful £1.54 for the man who was well in the lead until a few weeks ago!

The odds for anything related to a Chelsea win are even lower than I expected so I’ll take advantage of Dafabet’s price boost of Jermain Defoe to score anytime at 15/4. If he marks his final game in a Sunderland shirt with a goal, an £8 stake will return £38.

I fancy a buoyant Swansea to see off a West Brom side in wretched form, Spurs some comfortably dispatch Hull and Liverpool shouldn’t need much to win at home to Middlesbrough. I’m having another eight quid on this treble, which could see me bag £28.98.

Outcome: First bet void but his treble paid out.

Final total: £125.98 - that's a profit of £75.88 over the season!

This series is drawing to a close and with that in mind I’m going big on my bets. I won my seven team acca last week so no need to do another one like that again this season. Instead, I’m putting £40 on a treble. Liverpool, Juventus, and Madrid all to win. 40 on this treble returns £64.17.

For the Sunderland game, I’m mainly just relieved it’s the last time I have to bet on the no-hopers. I’m ignoring any Dafabet price boosts that are backing Sunderland and opting for John Terry as an anytime goalscorer at 21/10. It’s his last game at the Bridge and I’m backing it to be a memorable one. Terry to score anytime at 21/10. £8 returns £24.80.

Outcome: His treble won, meaning he saw profit in the final week.

Final total: £76.04 - if only one of his mental accas had came in...

Most Sunderland bets for the game away to Chelsea have great odds but they would be a waste of money normally and even more so now with so many players out "injured", with that in mind I'm hoping that Jermain Defoe gets one more goal for the club. £10 on Jermain Defoe to score anytime returns £32.50.

For my other bet, Spurs are away to already relegated Hull City, with Harry Kane in pole position to win the Premier League Golden Boot after his four-goal haul at Leicester and I can see him getting the match ball one again to confirm his place at the top of the charts. £10 on Harry Kane to score a hat-trick returns £120.

Outcome: BOOM! First bet was void but what a punt that 2nd one was!

Final total: Andy's big win sees him finish strong on £82.50.

Danny Roberts - @DJRoberts22

My Sunderland bet this weekend is going to be under 2.5 goals in our game. A fiver returns £9... I know. Steady gains.

My second bet will be a five-fold, betting on favourites across the world. I'll punt for wins for PSG in France, Bayern and Hoffenheim in Germany, Antalyaspor in Turkey and Sevilla in Spain. A fiver will see me get £58.33 back.

Outcome: Both bets lost.

Final total: £302.28 - Danny is comfortably this season's winner.

Chris Sparks - @ChrisSavedLatin

I’ve been as successful in this series as Sunderland have been in the league this season. To continue my awful betting record I'm going to place £10 on Defoe to score anytime in what looks like his final game for the club at 15/4.

Elsewhere im backing Arsenal, Man City, Spurs and Chelsea in a four fold, with £30 returning £78.20.

Outcome: 1st bet void, second bet won.

Final total: £48.43 - one final win wasn't enough to see Chris finish in profit!
