Jordan Pickford - 9 (Man of the Match)
Brilliant. Made every save he was physically capable of making and once again flaunted his phenomenal distribution. Can't be faulted at all for either of Arsenal's goals. The obvious choice for tonight's Man of the Match.
Billy Jones - 5
Had a chance in the second half that went begging, other than that he did a reasonably average job of holding off Arsenal.
Javier Manquillo - 6
Played a few clever balls in the first half but drifted off in the second before getting subbed.
John O'Shea - 5
Decent defensive duties, nothing more nothing less.
Lamine Kone - 6
More or less the same as JOS. Did an alright job containing Giroud too, I guess.
Bryan Oviedo - 6
Got forward a good few times in the first half as Sunderland weaved a few balls through the Arsenal defense, not an awful lot came of it though.
Didier NDong - 5
Weak on the ball and average otherwise.
Seb Larsson - 5
Distribution from set-pieces was very hit-an-miss, as were his passes from open play. Tried something clever with that dodgy 6 yard free-kick we got, but unfortunately we couldn't get a man on the receiving end.
Lee Cattermole - 6
Sturdy in the center of the park but wasn't able to create anything with the few through balls he made.
Fabio Borini - 4
Made a couple of defensive contributions and tried an overhead kick in the dying minutes. That's about it.
Jermain Defoe - 5
Perpetually feeding off scraps.
Lynden Gooch (For Cattermole in 76th minute) - 5
Keep him in the sidelines all season, but throw him into a match the night before he has a cup final? Aye Moyesie mate, aye.
Adnan Januzaj (For Manquillo in 82nd minute) - 4
Saw him get pushed over.
Darron Gibson (For NDong in 88th minute) - 4
No time to contribute.
