Jordan Pickford - 7
Again a level above his teammates, did wonderfully well to deny Demarai Gray in the first half.
Billy Jones - 5
Worked tirelessly as always but just a level bellow what's needed at both ends of the pitch.
Lamine Kone - 5
Largely handled Vardy well. He was however at fault for both goals, did particularly poorly for Leicester's second.
Jason Denayer - 6
Looked nervous at times, but defended well for most the game, others were to blame for this defeat.
Bryan Oviedo - 5
Frustratingly lackadaisical in possession, considering he remains one of Sunderland's most talented players.
Jack Rodwell - 6
Started sharply and looked assured alongside Cattermole, seems unable to contribute in attack still.
Lee Cattermole - 5
Looked understandably a yard off the pace in his return.
Didier Ndong - 5
Tried to play higher up the pitch in a role that doesn't suit his skill set, struggled.
Sebastian Larsson - 4
Managed a couple decent first half corners, doesn't mask his inability to offer any offensive value to this team. His continued place in the team sums up the conservatism that has killed Sunderland's chances under David Moyes.
Fabio Borini - 5
Largely anonymous again, ostensibly remains a maddening favourite of Moyes.
Jermain Defoe - 6
More threatening that he usually is in games he doesn't score in, needed more service than his less talented teammates can give him.
Victor Anichebe - 5
Could have been the hero with better luck, did little outside of hitting the post.
Wahbi Khazri - 5
Given limited minutes by Moyes again, hard to judge another small sample size.
Darron Gibson - 5
Brought on at the death in a thankless role, couldn't stop Leicester overrun the team in the final minutes.
