Our pundits are backing Sunderland to get yet another home win today - could we jinx it?!

Some big punts paid off last week, and it’s fair to say that one or two of the lads will be dining on succulent Turkey meat this Christmas thanks to Josh Maja’s goal against Fulham, but can they go one further and pick some winners ahead of Saturday’s shoot-out with Birmingham?

Our weekly Dafabet betting preview game is here - it’s Roker Riches!

That’s more like it!

We were all awful in the round before last but most of us got back to winning ways. Gav was the biggest winner, as he lumped on Sunderland winning, which made a big contribution to his overall profit of £130 last week. He’s well ahead now and this becoming a battle for a second place.

Walshie and Graham made some decent dollar as well, bringing in £50.60 and £80.55 respectively. Despite a big win, Graham remains well into the red and Danny went deeper into debt as well. Both men need a Christmas miracle if they’re to surge up the rankings.

Here’s our picks for this week, including a free £5 acca on the Premier League, as per last weeks banker’s bonus.

The Table...

The Banker’s Bonus...

If Sunderland beat Birmingham by over 2.5 goals, the banker will give each player a free first goal scorer bet in Sunderland’s game against Nottingham Forest.

Our Picks...

Gav - @Gav1879

Sunderland to win 2-0, 10/1: I think that I can afford to be a bit playful without worrying about losing my money, particularly as there is a £277.40 difference between me and Dan in second place. I said on this week’s Podcast and in the Roker Round-table that I think we’ll win 2-0 and as such I’m going to put my money where my mouth is. £10 returns £110.

Wolves, Reading & Bristol City to win: Eaaaaaaaaasy. £20 returns £113.64.

Premier League Fivefold: Everton & Chelsea to draw, Stoke & West Brom to draw, and then wins for Southampton, Palace and Burnley. £5 returns £1556.11.

Rory - @RoryFallow

Sunderland to win: I’m going for the same bet as I did last week since the price is canny. With the winless run at home behind us, we should comfortably beat a Birmingham side who have been even worse than us this season. £10 returns £20.

Burnley to win: I’m not being very imaginative with my bets this week but 11/2 are ludicrous odds given the way Burnley have performed this season. £5 returns £32.50.

Premier League fivefold: I’ll go for Huddersfield to upset the odds again and win away at Southampton and I reckon West Brom will turn over a Stoke side in poor form. After that I’ll keep it fairly simple with wins for West Ham, Manchester City & Brighton. £5 returns £633.53.

Sunderland to win: I can see Gav pulling away with this competition but, c’mon, we are not even half way through the season yet! I am going in hard this weekend in order to (hopefully) get myself back into the game. £50 returns £100.

Arsenal to beat Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp really grates on me. I hate him and I hate his arrogance. Arsenal are a tricky side to play and at home are a good bet to take all three points. £20 returns £47.50.

Premier League five-fold: I have went with a draw between Everton and Chelsea, another draw between Brighton and Watford and also a draw between Burnley and Spurs. I have also went for Man City and West Ham to win at home this weekend. £5 returns £573.33.

Graham - @AsylumDoors

Sunderland to win: I feel confident about this one - the monkey is off our back and Birmingham are absolutely stinking. Easy. £10 returns £20.

Man City & Bayern to win: Neither team has let me down this season when others have so I'm going to lump on. £40 returns £87.50.

Brighton, Stoke, Manchester Utd, Southampton & Swansea Fivefold: Bit of a stab in the dark, but I'd have these all down as favourites. £5 returns £299.87.

Sunderland to beat Birmingham @ Evens: Yeah. I’m fully on the Coleman hype train and my bet will reflect that. Ha’way the lads! £5 returns £10.

Luton, Reading and Notts County all to win: Will I ever win a bet again? Sigh. £5 returns £23.57.

Free Premier League £5 acca: I’ll go for West Ham, Manchester City, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Stoke all to win. £5 returns £184.61.

Tom - @Tommyakki

Sunderland to win by 3 goals or more: Ha’way Lads, spread a bit Christmas cheer with this one! £10 returns £50.

Championship Fourfold: If Derby, Fulham, Reading and Wolves bag wins this weekend, I’ll be owa the moon, and I might just treat meself to an early pressie. £8 returns £109.45.

Premier League Acca: I’m literally stealing Gav’s after seeing those potential winnings! Draws for Everton and Chelsea, Stole and WBA with wins for Palace, Southampton and Burnley. £5 wins £1556.11.

Sunderland to win: Bring it on, Birmingham. Feel Chris Coleman’s power as he dominates you from start to finish and doesn’t even buy you a drink after. Not sure what I’m saying but I expect us to win tomorrow. And that’s a nice feeling. £30 returns £60.

8 team acca: Missed last week’s acca by one result. This week my luck will change. Maybe... Celtic, Valencia, Lazio, Man City, Sunderland, Wolves, Reading, Blackburn. All to win. £10 returns £242.02.

Premier League fivefold: Thanks to the banker we have a free Premier League £5 acca. I’ll go for Manchester City to win and for Man Utd, Stoke, and Watford to bounce back. Finally, a draw in the Swansea v Palace game. Free £5 bet returns £247.10.

Walshie - @Walshie409

Sunderland to win by 2 or more goals: Birmingham are coming up to the Stadium of Light and they’re going home with a right royal battering from the indestructible force of Sunderland AFC. £3 returns £10.50.

Bournemouth to beat Man City: They’re 22/1, ffs. £1 return £23.

Premier League fivefold: West Ham, Swansea, West Brom, Southampton and Man City all to win (yes I know I bet on Bournemouth two lines up, shut up). £5 returns £249.77.
